Enjoy Duluth's best trails/parks from our backyard with Outdoor Sauna

Location is the key with this beautiful home! Nestled quietly in the woods on the base of Spirit Mountain. Walk out the back door and enjoy a multitude of things to do including mountain biking, down hill and cross country skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, and much more. Across the street is the Munger Trail for those that prefer to bike and hike on pavement. The St. Louis River is located right down the road for boating, fishing, or kayaking. Lake Superior/Canal Park and Park Point is within a short 15 minute drive. You will also find the craft district full of restaurants and breweries within 10 minutes.

The space
Enjoy the whole newly remodeled home. There are two private bedrooms (Bedroom #1 has one queen bed and Bedroom #2 has two twin beds). There is a full bath with two sinks, tub/shower unit, and toilet. Enjoy the open living space with a gas fireplace, cozy leather furniture and solid wood floors. There is a brand new kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, oven/range, and coffee pot along with a dining space to relax and eat. Out back there is a deck with a grill and patio table to enjoy the outdoors. The lower level has another living room with another full-size bed (this considered the 3rd bedroom) and bathroom with a walk in shower. Relax and kick back with a large fire pit to warm up and roast some marshmallows. There is also a barrel sauna for your use. You will never want to leave! (Side note: There are two securities cameras located outside to protect our home and guests. No parties or events are allowed. Must approve extra guests or 6 during booking). License #PL22-007

Relaxing, tranquil retreat

A absolutely beautiful home, located in a perfect location with beautiful woods behind. This had a wonderful outdoor fire pit to enjoy, relaxing evening under the stars, a wood-burning sauna to relax your muscles after a long day of outdoor activities, relaxing, indoor fireplace. This home is located right next to hiking trails and biking trails. The house was extremely clean, felt very homey and the decor was perfect .I give this house a 10 rating and definitely plan on coming back.!

Our Third Stay!

My friends and I love this home so much that we’ve now stayed here three consecutive years. Mark and Jamie are so easy to work with - ensuring we have all we need and setting us up for a great stay. We loved exploring the woods behind the house, coming across a small frozen waterfall. The location made it easy for us to get to and from shops, restaurants, and Bentleyville. The kitchen had all we needed to make some meals in-house. We appreciate the holiday decor, which helped us get into the Christmas spirit. Can’t wait for year four!

Beautiful property!

We loved this vacation rental! The setting in the woods was beautiful, the house was amazing and clean with great views, and the hosts were very responsive! We were in town for a trail race and loved that we could walk to the superior hiking trail from our back yard! We would definitely stay again!

Great spot- beautiful location next to a hiking trail, cute and clean house- our kids (ages 5-10) adored the house too! Sauna was a fun bonus. Did an easy day trip up the North Shore- Black Beach, Split Rock Lighthouse trail, Gooseberry Falls, and Canal Park. Had the feeling of being more remote (with large windows overlooking beautiful trees), yet was convenient. Would love to come back and do more hikes out the backyard. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

Great Upnorth Stay for the Whole Family

We recently stayed at this wonderful property up north, and it was absolutely perfect for our family! The place was incredibly clean and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. With younger children, we appreciated the family-friendly setup—plenty of space for them to play and explore. The back yard goes under appreciated, lots of space with trail access and secluded fire pit. The amenities were fantastic, especially the sauna, which was great after the kids went to bed. The hosts were amazing—helpful, responsive, and quick to answer any questions. The property has a the cabin charm, but it’s also conveniently located close to Duluth’s attractions. It’s the ideal spot for families looking for a peaceful getaway with plenty to do nearby. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be returning!

Mark and Jamie, we had a great stay. The accommodations were everything we hoped for. We loved our home away from home. The convenience of being so close to many Duluth attractions was a big plus. Stunning Home

We absolutely loved our stay at the Spirit Mountain Retreat! It’s absolutely beautiful and warm and inviting. Everything is new and fresh. Jaime and Mark were amazing hosts! Providing everything from toilet paper to snow plowing. We had such an amazing experience and we can’t wait to return.
