The area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with local activities including horse riding, climbing, cycling, golf, fishing, sailing and wild swimming. Youâll also be spoilt for choice when it comes to walking; from waterside strolls at Gare Loch (5 miles) to exhilarating hikes at Ben Lomond (25 miles). The long-distance John Muir Trail also passes nearby â just a 2-mile walk from the house, with great views of Loch Lomond. The pretty conservation village of Luss (13 miles) on the shores of Loch Lomond makes a lovely day out. Helensburgh (5 miles) has a good range of eateries, a cinema, a swimming pool and a sports centre. Head to Glasgow â just 45 minutes away by train â and explore its vibrant cultural scene and visit museums and art galleries.
