Relax on the Bold Coast of Maine. Two Bedroom house sitting on Gardner Lake. Wake up daily to the amazing sunrises at this very private location. Swim or boat right off 40' dock located on the property. Plenty of out door areas to enjoy view the with your coffee or catch some rays. Get a local license and go fishing. Wonderful for families who like cooking and want a super private location located at the end of a private road.

Full bath, well equipped kitchen, and dining for 6. King and Queen beds for comfort. Covered deck.

We loved our stay at Troy's place! It was as described in the listing and, if anything, surpassed expectations with all of the natural light inside. We traveled around a bit to some different trails and beaches which were all relatively close by.

Our stay at the Gardner Lake home was perfection! It is a cozy, well loved home with epic views of the sunrise over the lake. The location could not be better and the kitchen had absolutely everything you need. I messaged the owner asking if there was a kayak or anything that guests could use and there wasn’t. But when we arrived we were surprised to find he had brought a kayak over for us! We thoroughly enjoyed a morning out on the water and so appreciated the thoughtfulness. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Everything about the gardener lake house was wonderful. The drive-in is like going into another world down a long dirt road to privacy and spectacular view of the lake. Yet, you’re only a few miles from the town.The swimming on the other side of the dock is a nice Sandy bottom and easy for people and dogs. The house is well equipped for the kitchen and the living room is big, comfortable, and has great view of the lake. The side deck was the star! We took long drives along the coast and Gardner Lake house was the perfect homebase. We will be back! Thank you so much for sharing your home!

Beautiful lake front home

Private location with beautiful view of the water. Covered outdoor sitting area for grilling and dock access to the lakes. Spacious updated home with comfortable beds. Love our 4 day stay here.

Great Vacation

Stayed for a week and enjoyed every moment. The house was clean and very well-equipped. The location was very private and easy to access. We swam every day. The lake and waterfront were very swimmable, but I recommend wearing water shoes as it can be a bit rocky. Proximity to the coast and Eastport, Lubec, etc, is great. We were very comfortable here. We had our 80-pound dog, Stella, with us, and she approves as well. We would definitely return. Zero complaints.

Quite retreat with lots of potential.

What we loved; great house in a quiet neighborhood with no road noise. The view of the lake was stunning, the lake water clear and clean.What we liked; the host’s welcome gift of yummy Bold Coast coffee, nice cookware and dinnerware. What we thought could use improvement; cleanliness of kitchen (personally discussed with host). Communication - host was prompt with responding but shy on follow through. Property description said “swim or boat right off dock”. The dock was not in the water for our whole two week stay. Amenities noted a grill but it was nonfunctional. Kitchen would be better for cooking if there was a set of sharp cooking knives, a cutting board smaller than the carving board, a colander and a box grater. The internet connection for the T.V. Was inoperable. The ceiling fan didn’t work. The toilet seat was loose. The front walkway to the lake for swimming access was unsafe due to overgrown shrubbery and loose stepping stones. The trash can and oven both needed cleaning. Would benefit from a welcome book with instructions such as how to connect with the wifi, check-out procedures, location of nearest grocery store, urgent care, ER, restaurant recommendations, etc.

Peaceful retreat

Troy’s cabin is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The lake is literally just steps away from the door, and there are lots of windows and doors that look out over the water. A pair of geese with 3 chicks hung out right next to us, as did a mallard duck. The location is handy to many places downeast. Troy was helpful and even brought us some local coffee. We can’t recommend his place enough!

Nice place in a great location for a restful stay.

I loved looking out at the sunrise over the lake each day! Well located to see the rustic back country of Downeast Maine. The house was nice, though it was evident that animals stay there. The kitchen could be better equipped, and patio furniture needs refinishing. Overall, though, it was a great place to stay.
