The apartment is well laid out, really comfortable and with everything you need for a mini break. The beds were comfortable, the towels were luxurious, the decor all pleasant and the place felt welcoming. The location was great with a wonderful view out to sea. We had a lovely stay - thank you!
Cons....On arrival at 2.40 ..checkin said 3pm. Apparently the cleaning slot was 2.30 til 3pm. No idea how they would clean a flat thoroughly in that time! After a few phone calls with the cleaning company they dropped off linen for us to change beds ourselves. They came back early the next day to clean... all sorted.I booked through holiday lettings who I've used many times.....this listing is out of date.....there is no hot tub, the views are now more obstructed by trees, the outdoor funiture is rusty..balcony is a bonus but needs some attention. I am getting in touch with the owner regarding other issues so they can rectify. The views at the back are terrible obviously due to other flat rentals in the row...lots of rubbish dump...which i assume the hot tub once went. On busy road...but there are crossings near the flat.Pros....parking, the flat has everything and more for your needs, including tea coffee and cleaning products fir yourself and in the kitchen. Location is on the flat so 15 mins to pier and town...it is a good walk...pleasant on a nice day. Back streets are rough looking so recommend keeping to the front as long as you can when walking to the town...turn right when you are near the pier. There are a couple if local shops with 10 mins, the bars on the front are nice....beachhouse shut at 6.30, the glasshouse shut at 10pm....sunsets stunning. Great pizza place with 20 min...pizza go i think it was called. Open top bus was great... 24 hr ticket
My husband, sister and I finished our walk along the South Downs Way at Eastbourne and stayed there 3 nights. It was a very pleasant end to a wonderful walk. It was our first visit to Eastbourne and we liked it very much (especially in comparison with Brighton where we'd spent the previous 2 nights!)
We booked the apartment for a couple of nights and really enjoyed our stay. Access was clear and simple and secure, everything was clean, and the kitchen was well stocked and functional. Recommended.
Path from parking to front door unlit. Includes 2 death-trap steps. No lighting on internal staircase from Thursday until Saturday. No internal staircase emergency lighting.
Everything was really fine the only thing you have to know, the main street in Eastbourne is running in front of the apartment, between the apartment and the sea, sometimes it's difficult to cross the street.
