Horrible- one bedroom was completely bug infested - Vacasa promised every day that someone was coming to clean and they never showed up. House would be nice otherwise - nice location and good size
Found a few bugs in the home. Host could not get pest control there. Did not feel comfortable in the home so moved to a hotel. Local management ghosted me. A lot of back and forth with Vacasa and received mostly lip service from them and then the refund request for the unused nights was denied. This is all despite the cleaning lady not being finished until 7pm when check in is 4pm. Wasn't a good experience.
House was well maintained and stocked with essentials to enjoy our stay. Property is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to town and beach. Whether as a base for daily adventure or a place to have fun on a rainy day, this place was great.
This home needs some MAJOR updating and we did not have a good experience because of the awful bedroom and sleeping arrangements. We are not picky or highly-discerning travelers. We can live with older appliances and finishes - and in this home, everything was old, despite its high price tag -- but the bed situation was UNACCEPTABLE.
2 out of the 3 bedrooms were virtually unusable because the beds were about 30 years old and the springs were so damaged. We couldn't even sleep in one of the bedrooms and 1 of my daughters ended up sleeping on the couch for our entire 5-night stay. In one room, the bedframe was actually BROKEN. A VRBO/Vacasa maintenance guy spent an entire afternoon sitting in the bedroom fixing the broken bed frame. I thanked him for his work, but told him the bedframe didn't fix the 30-year-old mattress and he agreed. My other daughter ended up sleeping on the other old and damaged mattress, and woke up with a sore back and neck every morning. She is 10 years old. There were 3 bedrooms and only 1 of them was acceptable. I called and texted Vacasa every single day during our stay and received these stock answers - no one was helpful.
The house was full of cobwebs in the corners of the walls and bugs on the ceilings and in the corners were commonplace.
The washer and dryer set was about as old as the mattresses. To dry towels, we had to run the dryer about 5 times.
The coffee mugs were tiny, and could not accommodate (without spilling over) the coffee from the home's Keurig machine.
The host has pictures of its family members all over the living room and kitchen. Nobody wants to feel like they are intruding in another family's home while on their own vacation. This host clearly was ill-informed on how to price and rent to travelers.
We were extremely disappointed in the sleeping situation and Vacasa's consolation -- after my constant calling and complaining - was to refund us 15% of the overall price tag. That felt like a slap in the face.
I would not recommend this property to anyone wishing to wake up in a comfortable bed without pain or discomfort. Completely disappointing and underwhelming experience and I want to be refunded.
It was a great experience. Our summer home is currently under construction and we needed a cozy place for the family to stay on island. The home was clean and kid friendly. It was fully equipped with everything you could imagine. This was definitely it. I would give it 6 stars!!
