The rooms were clean and the staff was VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. They have on site laundry services which was a huge help to us as we had been traveling and needed to wash clothes. That was a nice amenity for us.

What a great place! The staff couldn't do enough for us, Alex and Antionette were so kind and helpful. Antionette helped me purchase train tickets on line. Alex shared train travel tips with us. The location is great as well, it is a half a block from the Royal Mile. All shopping, restaurants, and attractions were within easy walking distance, including Edinburgh Castle.

We stayed 4 nights in an Executive Studio. The room itself didn’t look quite as nice as the photos and the layout was different. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and despite the fact that we received an email the day before our reservation stating that early check-ins were not allowed, we were in fact allowed to check in at noon. This was most welcome as we were bagged after a long international flight. We had the continental breakfast one day and it was pretty good. The location is excellent, just steps from the Royal Mile and close to everything we wanted to see. The only problem with our room was a lack of water pressure two days in a row which meant we were unable to shower which was certainly a problem. Overall we liked the hotel very well and would likely stay here again.

I have stayed there before. The room I got this time was so small you could barely walk around the bed. I didn’t know they had rooms that small. It also smelled. I couldn’t stay there and had to pay the property for an upgrade. Overall horrible experience.

The location for this hotel is spot on. Edinburgh Castle is a short 6 min walk. There is a coffee shop right next door and many restaurants nearby. We tried Makars Mash Bar the first night we arrived…100% recommended. One of the guys on the night shift pretty rude, but the rest of the staff was nice. Also, the rooms are a bit worn down. The curtain rod in our room was falling off. Other than that,I would recommend this hotel.

The rooms were amazingly spacious with a big bed, couch, table and chairs. The bathroom was huge and the in-room amenities were much appreciated. We also liked the laundry room on site. The location was excellent, right off the Royal Mile, and near all kinds of great places, such as the art museum. Everything was in easy walking distance. Highly recommended!

The room was very comfortable with a great view. Good shower and very comfy bed. The staff were all very nice, professional, helpful and friendly. My only negative is that the screen on the rowing machine wasn’t working, apart from that everything was excellent
