Luxury Townhouse Set At The Heart Of Edinburgh's Georgian New Town

Mitchells Townhouse is exclusive use and completely self-contained with its own private garage and has the added benefit of having no shared spaces with other properties yet is located right at the heart of the city centre with Princes Street and George Street only a couple minutes’ walk away.

This elegant 18th Century Category A-listed Georgian townhouse is the perfect venue as your holiday home from home.

The house offers a relaxed luxury self catering vacation experience in surroundings where the original period features are complimented by a gentle palette of colours.

A complementary welcome hamper is provided for your arrival to ensure your holiday starts the moment you arrive.

With private and secure main door access, set over three floors, the house comprises two main suites, one double bedroom and one single bedroom. There are multiple ensuite and shared bathroom facilities.

The large dining kitchen is fully equipped with integrated appliances and a coffee machine. Sitting eight guests (with additional high chair for the younger members), plus a breakfast bar for informal dining, the room effortlessly combines a contemporary high specification kitchen with beautifully restored period features; ideal as the perfect setting for relaxed social dining and lasting holiday memories.

Two reception rooms offer generous living accommodation with gas fires and feature stoves, tv's, books, board games and a Wii games consoles to keep everyone entertained.

The two main bedrooms located on the top floor each contain super king size beds (one of which can be as a twin arrangement), flat screen tv's, dedicated dressing areas and ensuite bathrooms with showering facilities, limestone floors and underfloor heating.

The large and beautifully furnished double kingsize bedroom is located on the ground floor entrance level. The single bedroom is located on first floor and can be arranged specially for an adult or child guest on request. A beautiful shower room is located on the ground floor and dedicated study space is provided off the first floor landing.

The family sitting room can be arranged as a single bedroom to provide accommodation for an extra guest, although notification for this is required prior to booking and may incur an additional cost.

For those that like a little pampering or to get away from it all, the bedrooms are dressed with black out blinds or curtains, Egytian cotton linens and towels along with spare blankets or throws should you require them and luxury Scottish toiletries and hairdryers are provided.

Not to leave the little one's out, a cot is also provided free of charge for any younger guests. A child stair gate is fixed to the wall at 1st floor landing and can be used if required.

Features include the latest in-room technology as standard throughout the house with high speed wi-fi, blue tooth speakers, multiple digital / smart tv's.

A dedicated laundry cupboard is located within the shower room which includes washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes airer and iron.

We are delighted to offer a small single garage located on the back lane to the property for an additonal cost of ÂŁ25 per night. There is also on street car parking (pay and display) located outside the property. The airport bus and tram stops are only a few minutes away on foot, as are the nearest taxi ranks.

What a wonderful place to stay in Edinburgh! It was so spacious, light, VERY clean, and well stocked! This was our family’s favorite accommodation during our UK trip, and my teen/tween daughters kept raving about how nice it was. We appreciated the many bedrooms and bathrooms and space to spread out. We had one of the bedrooms upstairs set up with two twin beds, instead of a king, which worked well for kids sharing the room. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We enjoyed family movie nights in the spacious main floor living room. The kitchen and bathrooms were great and so clean. We were there during warm days in July, but we opened the windows a while in the evening to cool things off, which worked well. We appreciated the room darkening shades on the windows, since it is so light in the summer. And little touches, like phone chargers on the night stands, hand lotion in the bathrooms, and a welcome hamper with some goodies, made it feel very welcoming and well thought out. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!The location was terrific, on a quiet street, but not far from shops, restaurants, and all the sights. I would much prefer staying here in New Town to the busyness of the Royal Mile area. It was about a 15-minute walk to both the train station and the top of the Royal Mile. There are so many restaurants on nearby Rose Street. We loved our dinners at The Ginger Coo Cafe and Bistronomy 176 especially. My daughters did a lot of shopping on Princes Street as well.

Wonderful stay

The property is just as described. Very clean and beautiful! The location can’t be beat as it is a short walk to the city with many restaurants, shops, and the stunning Edinburgh Castle. We only stayed two nights, but wish it had been longer as we loved the city and the accommodation. The property manager, Christine, is quick to answer any questions and the hamper of goodies was a delight!

Great Location

The location is a 15 minute walk from Waverly bridge drop off for airport bus and 25 minutes to the castle. Neighborhood was safe with almost zero nighttime noise. Multiple levels so if you have someone with mobility issues you probably should move on. Liked having 2 master suites, lots of room to spread out over the 3 levels. Communication with host was great and welcome basket a nice touch. Washer and Dryer are two separate units..... so appreciated and much more efficient than the combo units we experienced elsewhere. Loads of restaurants within 5 minutes. Would stay here again!

Six of us senior ladies flew into Edinburgh airport and took an Uber to our VRBO. We were pleasantly surprised to find it even better than we had hoped. Amazing Edinburgh Apartment

Spotless apartment in a quiet neighborhood a short walk from Edinburgh city center. Attentive host available at a moment’s notice if needed. Spacious bedrooms with super comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Plenty of room to spread out or gather together in living areas or large kitchen/dining. AMAZING HOLIDAY STAY

What can we say other than our entire family holiday stay was nothing short of amazing. The townhouse was so inviting, very spacious for all, comfort all around. Upon arrival, we found a delightful basket of treats which was a welcomed sight after a long flight. The home was clean and tidy, just as described. Fantastic Townhouse in central Edinburgh

We were on holiday as a family of seven adults. We loved how central the property was to everything, nothing was more than a 15-20 minute walk. The house itself is beautifully decorated and furnished and we loved the layout with the kitchen on the first floor. It was the hub of the place! Everything we needed was supplied and we appreciated the goodies left for us too! We found the street to be very quiet and right off George Street too. Would definitely come back again.

Fantastic

Large property with plenty of beds. Very clean and modern, with all amenities needed, including washer and dryer. Really appreciated the goodie basket when we arrived. Location is perfect in Newtown, walkable to everywhere in Edinburgh. Quiet street although the seagulls are bonkers at 3-5 AM when they see the sun rise. Convenient to both Cambridge Bar and Oxford Bar. We would totally stay here again and we adore Edinburgh.

This was a very gorgeous spot that was located in a great area to access many of the tourist spots. The house was fantastic with living rooms on the 1st and second floor, so there were multiple Places to sit down and relax if needed. The rooms were also very spacious.

Wonderful townhouse, perfect location.

This wonderful townhouse was located in a perfect city center location. It is in walking distance to just about everything your site seeing heart desires, also a ton restaurants and shopping. The townhouse is 3 levels. Bottom level has a living room, bedroom and separate bathroom. The 2nd level has a 2nd living room, a small single sized bedroom, the kitchen and dining area. The 3rd level has 2 large en-suite bedrooms. The street the home sits on is quaint and historical looking with the cobblestones. The home itself is restored beautifully. The only minor suggestion I have is to possible replace the carpet in the carpeted areas such as the 1st level bedroom with something softer. The carpet now has a rough texture and not comfortable on bare feet. Again it is a very minor suggestion. This home is a great place for family, friends, or just about anyone.

Amazing House

Beautiful Property

Stayed for 3 nights. 6 adults comfortable home close to walking distance to castle and easy access to Hop on hop off transportation. Great local pub next door. Accommodation had everything we needed to prepare breakfast each morning. Loaded hamper of goodies greater us with basics such as coffee and tea and nice sweet treats. Great welcome to Scotland.
