The room was a great size, the shower was fantastic, and the room was clean and fresh. It was quiet at night giving a peaceful sleep. The gentleman at the reception when we arrived was proffessional and helpful. The only thing i wished was that there was more seating areas to relax in near the bar and restaurant. Through no fault of their own the staff couldn’t cope. Very disappointing breakfast experience. Staff had called in sick leaving colleagues run off their feet with queues waiting to enter restaurant. Possibly the worst service I’ve ever experienced having used the services of many hotels over many years. Room was in need of a refresh but was comfortable. Price was extortionate but understandable at this time of year when prices are always inflated due to Christmas in edinburgh
