Why is the heat in the lobby cranked as high as possible at night? Hot dry air. Awful. I'd never have dinner in such conditions.

Not what we expected ….

We were in Room 9 which looked very worn, and not the cleanest. Extractor Fan in bathroom hasn’t been cleaned for a very long time, grout was starting to mould and bath requires replacing. Shaving Mirror also had rust. No bedside table between beds (only outside of beds), no power socket near mirror for wife to straighten her hair. USB sockets next to bed didn’t work either. Sad to say but don’t think I would stay here again. Only positive is the hotel is in a great location for the city centre

Lovely Georgian building set in a period terrace which is about a mile’s easy walk of both Princes street and the Royal Mile. Our room retained some of the period features and the king bed was very comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful. Would stay again.

Very nice

Staff were excellent when an issue was identified with our original room and moved us to another. Everything was clean, tidy, organised, and the staff themselves were lovely each day.

Lovely stay

Lovely hotel, quiet and staff friendly. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Breakfast buffet lovely, hot and cold breakfast available plus cook to order menu very good value would recommend adding to your booking. Bear Leith Walk - great for independent cafes and restaurants and bars.

Pros: Property was very accessible to the city centre and all attraction Cons 1)Breakfast served at hotel had fixed menu for all the days so it's difficult for any to have same food through out the stay 2)Room service given by staff was very pathetic,she used same glove to wash u r closet and than to clean u r bed and to wash your u are utensils at room .Even after requesting her to change glove and clean thn she changed to new glove and used floor used towel to dry the cups This are main things which made us to feel bad and disgusting,we belive hygiene should be on priority and we have no idea how it was cleaned before allocation Requesting voco team to look into this and serve better at future
