Cottage: 3005 Palmetto Blvd.

New appliances (refrigerator and dishwasher) and new deck! Three bedroom two bath cottage at Edisto! This cottage is one of the earlier homes with original tongue-and-groove paneling in some rooms. The home has been updated with new appliances, ceiling fans in all rooms, and central heat/air.

One bedroom has a queen bed and another has a set of twins and a full-sized crib. The third bedroom is small with a bunk bed set. . Guests must bring their own linens.

The dining room has a table for six. The deck has a table for 4. The front porch has a daybed. In addition, on this porch are four rockers, beach chairs, and toys and games. There is quite a collection of children's books about the beach and ocean, and puzzles and games, as well.

The cleaners are following all cleaning and maintenance guidelines as recommended during Covid-19. EPA number can be provided upon request.



Under the house is a wagon with many beach toys. Beach access is very convenient and the wagon can pull children or beach games such as bocce or paddle ball. The incredible bike trail is just a few steps away.

I was impressed by the amount of beds they made work in the size of the cottage, we fit very comfortably! The proximity to the beach was great especially with kids! The cleanliness was okay-bring your own toilet paper. All that was in the house was what was currently in the bathroom already. Read the description carefully on the house-we did not know we needed to bring our own linens until an hour prior to arrival. This is a biggie and needs to be bolded/underlined, however to make it more eye catching and perhaps a reminder a day or two out rather than the day of check in. We had to purchase linens at a local dollar general. Graciously, the owner sent us a link to rent linens for 200. Was a decent rental for a weekend get-away.

Wonderful Edisto home! The home is much larger than the few pictures indicate. The location is 2 blocks to the beach and 2 blocks to Whaley's, perfect! I really enjoyed sitting on the outdoor deck during the day. There is a sun porch that runs across the front of the house which I sat on the daybed and watched the cars go by in the evenings. I did not cook, but I did open a cabinet for a coffee cup and plate and they seemed to be well stocked. The queen bed slept very comfortably. The den is also a great space to hang out. I always enjoy a getaway to Edisto and I will definitely stay here again. Thank you, Amelia.

The house is very reminiscent of the older homes of Edisto. We felt right at home and if you grew up going to Edisto, you will too. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Just a short walk to the beach. We will definitely be back.

An older place that reminds me of my grandparents' house in the 70's. I'm not as picky as some and it was fine for us. It doesn't have beach view, but close enough to easily walk there.

Fun Girls Weekend

A group of college friends and I got together to celebrate turning 50. The house was perfect for the 4 of us and we loved the location. Everything was clean and neat and really has that cozy cottage feel. Would recommend!

Left early.

Definitely not as listed. Duct tape covering holes in the tile in the kitchen. A rug covering missing flooring from the kitchen to the dining room. Looks like a rat had chewed through a cord in the bedroom with the crib, the light over the bed. There was mold in the master bathroom over the tub. I told the host we were checking out early, they said they were sorry and would give a partial refund. It's been 6 days an I have yet to receive the check they said I'd get. We shall see if I actually receive it. I would definitely never consider staying here again. I wish I could post pictures and videos to show you. Please take my word for it and find a better place to stay. My 4 year old and 9 year olds wanted to go home early. They've never asked to go home early from a vacation! I sure hope the hosts mailed the check to halfway make it right.
