Relaxing Getaway - “Olive Yew" - Short Walk to Beach

Welcome to Olive Yew! Come discover Edisto Beach, one of the most serene beaches found on the South Carolina coast with limited commercialization. Enjoy your stay at this newly renovated beach house that boast designer finishes throughout and a short walk to the beach!

The space:
This chic beach house was completely renovated in 2022 and new to the rental market in 2023. It sits on a peaceful street and nestled between large live oaks. There is a paved bike trail on the opposite side of our street with (4) beach cruiser bikes included during your stay. You are just a short 5 min walk to beach access 31 which has no stairs and easily accommodates beach carts and strollers. You are also a quick walk to one of the island's top seafood dive restaurant and bar, Whaley's.

The expansive open living room has abundant natural light and vaulted ceilings to create a spacious feel from the moment you enter. The entire space has beautiful heart pine floors that will accommodate the entire family to watch TV/movies or play memorable board games. The breakfast table has (4) chairs and the nearby dining room table can accommodate (6) so everyone can be included during family meals.

The kitchen has brand new appliances throughout with natural honed stone countertops. It is fully stocked with new cookware, dishes, & utensils. You will also have access to a Weber propane gas grill and a ceramic egg grill for smoking or searing meats with natural charcoal included.

Bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: King sized bed that has a private bathroom and its own private front porch.

Bedroom 2: Queen bed with its own private front porch

Bedroom 3: (Upstairs) Bunk room: Twin over queen bunk bed with (2) separate twin beds. A Roku TV is mounted on the wall to allow the kids their own place upstairs to unwind and watch cartoons. There is a workstation with dual monitors and docking station in the event work calls at the beach.

Complimentary (4) beach cruiser bikes, (6) New Tommy Bahama beach chairs, and Tommy Bahama Umbrella located in the ground level storage closet. Also included is a new aluminum beach cart that allows easy hauling of beach chairs, cooler, supplies and/or fishing gear.

An outdoor shower (hot and cold water) is located on the ground level for guest use after beach activities.

Guest access:
Each group will receive a custom door code prior to your arrival. Guests will also have access to the ground level storage closet.

This was a great house situated close to the beach. It was the perfect size for our family for the week. The screened in back porch was awesome and the house had everythinv needed to cook meals.We really enjoyed staying here.

We absolutely loved this home, it's location, and Edisto Island! We will be coming back again as it suited our family perfectly. The house was clean and had just what we needed to stay. Love the beach cart as it was able to carry all of our things.

Gorgeous home!

I absolutely loved staying at Olive Yew. It was beautifully appointed with lots of thoughtful touches, great water pressure and a short walk to the beach. The host was very friendly and communicative. It was a delight to spend Christmas here—I’ll be back!

Mother Daughter Weekend

This was a wonderful place for our 3 generation Mother Daughter weekend. My daughter had her privacy in the loft area when she wanted it and my 80-year old mother was very happy with the walk in shower option. We were unable to find a beachfront property that fit our needs and dates so we opted for “close walk to beach”. We were 3 houses away from beach access, 3 rows back which was a very manageable walk for my mom. We took out the provided bikes and challenged each other to ping pong during the day and snuggled up on the couch each night for movies. Memories made!

The most comfortable rental.
EVER!

This beautiful beach cottage was so comfortable. Our family stayed in “Olive Yew” for the week and loved everything about it. It fit “olive us” perfectly. The house was clean when we arrived, everything worked as it should, and the beds were so comfortable! The open concept living room/kitchen were well layed out, well appointed, and very functional. The couch was a great place for relaxing and watching a movies. It fit the whole family! The beach gear and bikes available for our use were a nice bonus as well. The owners were easy to communicate with and replied promptly to questions. We’ve been renting vacation rentals for years and this has by far been one of the best.

Olive Yew !

The house is well decorated, and the location is convenient with the biking trail and beach access in walking distance. The kitchen was well equipped making cooking meals practical. We arrived and our bathroom was not cleaned, but the owner was quick to respond to any questions or issues we ran across.

Fantastic home, great location

First time to Edisto with the family - Brooks was a great host, very proactive with communication and check-in information. House was clean and centrally located on the island, walking distance to the beach and multiple restaurants - will definitely be back.
