Staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby was nicely decorated for the holidays. The building is unassuming on the outside but the design inside is very nice, especially the rooms, whose warm tones set it aside from many of the properties I have stayed in.

The place was clean. They offered a breakfast at the hotel, there was none. I was told I had to pay extra dor my service dog. This was not mentioned on the site or if it was service animal friendly. The man at the front desk was very rude about my service animal and told me that I had to wear a mask, even though ib the state of TX there is no mask mandate.

Subflooring in room is loose. Hate to be in the room below trying to sleep with all the creaking it makes.

It was clean, but appears dated. Peeling paint was hanging from the ceiling over the tub, but it was not a deal breaker. I had no problems really. But I only stayed one night. I noticed on the day before check out there was noise next door. I saw that the room was being renovated along with other rooms on that floor. I was confused on why I was given a room on a floor that was being renovated. It was noisy. Although I was preparing to check out, I could imagine what it would have been like if I would have stayed another day. It wouldn't have been able to chill and rest in the room with all that noise.

Hotel was clean and staff was friendly and felt my vehicle was safe in parking lot. I would recommend you don't stay on the first floor. People on the second floor where noisy and the sound traveled down very easly. Other than that a great place to stay
