We had a nice time at the sheltered elk, everything was spotless and the house still smells like new! The house is near the winery which we absolutely loved, across the street you will see the magnificent view from the kitchen window and front door. I love all the windows, in the place. The house is approx 5 miles from the main gate, it can feel a bit far at first but is not bad, just drive the speed limit and enjoy the view! I recommend heading to great camp Saturday at 7pm for the evening entertainment (live music) brick oven pizza and adult drinks, this is a family event so children are welcomed! Thereâs plenty to do at eagles nest, the views are magnificent.
Enjoy the cozy sheltered elk!
We made a quick trip to the mountains to ski with our kids at Beech Mountain. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. The recliners and reclining couch and all of the blankets were perfect after a day at the slopes. They also had tons of games which we enjoyed. We loved this house and would definitley book it again!
Sheltered Elk is a beautiful and quaint home! Itâs well appointed and in a great location to play basketball at the North Pavilion, hang indoors by the fooseball table, or take a trip to the nearby winery! My family (even two âeasily bored kiddos) had a ball at the house and hiking nearby!
Sheltered Elk was amazing with sunrise views and on top of the mountain you could not ask for much more. We never wanted to leave! Property was very clean and it just felt like home. The views on the mountain were stunning. We would highly recommend staying here and working with Blue Ridge Mountain as well.
This cabin was really setup nicely. Every kitchen utensil or bowl needed is top quality. Loved everything about this place. . Itâs a bit of a hike from the from entrance but well worth it. Highly recommend it.
