Our favorite Wine Country getaway

We come out to NC Wine Country every Spring and Fall and if we have a big enough group (6-8), this has been our preferred property. It's perfectly situated near so many of our favorite Wineries and Vineyards, so our itinerary always starts and ends locally. We make full use of the kitchen for breakfasts and choose one of the Wineries for our Saturday evening dinner. As simple as it is, I also love that every room has at least a Queen bed! It's surprising how many places have rooms where I would have to split couples into twin or full beds or even worse, bunks and fold outs! I can't rationalize doing that to people, so I absolutely love and appreciate this place and I'm really bummed that this is the last time I get to bring people out here to introduce them to Yadkin Valley. Slightly Askew and Tracie have also been very helpful and accommodating every time we've visited.

Wonderful place!

We are long term Merlefest attendees and always enjoy the luxury of staying at Slight Askew rental plus the awesome added bonus of a wine tasting. Excellent wine! Tracie is an ideal host.

Great Location, Clean & Beautiful Home!

We went to Elkin, NC to go on a winery tour and this was the perfect place to stay. Very roomy, clean and super cute!!! Tracy was a great host and very communicative!!! We were also given a free wine tasting within walking distance which was a very nice perk. Walt at the winery was great as well!!! We will definitely try to stay here in the future if it’s still an option. Thanks Tracy!!!

This is a gorgeous property and is perfect for a group. It is always spotless and the kitchen is well stocked with the basics+. Tracey is so easy to communicate with and goes above and beyond for her guests. One of the best VRBOs I’ve stayed in and I stayed in a LOT! Highly recommended.

Perfect Girls Wine Trip

Our girls weekend in Elkin was fabulous. Upon arrival we walked in, music was playing and it was so clean and welcoming. We then walked through the backyard to Slightly Askew winery for a free wine tasting. We will definitely consider this home on our next trip! It was perfect.

Great house for couples Wine Tasting

Hard to find houses with just king and queen beds, but this one fits the bill. Has an awesome deck with grill and hot tub. Great location in the middle of everything.
