This 1930's vertical log cottage has been remodeled and added on to. It is located about a mile outside of Ellison Bay on Mink River Road. It is on a 5 acre piece of property and a nice quiet setting. The cottage has a wrap around porch to enjoy your morning coffee. The cottage is decorated with antique furnishings. There is a full size kitchen with all that is needed to enjoy your stay. The bathroom has a 48" shower. In the living room there a gas fireplace. The bedroom downstairs has a full size bed. There is also a large whirlpool in the bedroom. Upstairs there are two beds, one full and one twin.
My family of 5, children aged 13, 11, and 7, traveled to Door Co. for the 1st time in 4 yrs and the cottage was the perfect starting point for everything we wanted to do. The property is secluded and beautifully situated while still being close enough to all the things we wanted to do. We loved our time here and look forward to next time!
It was a nice quiet retreat from all the business of Door Co. Loved that we were only 1 mile up the road from Kick Ash as this recently diagnosed celiac was there often during our stay.
Close to the hustle and bustle but a quiet place to sit and relax. The place was clean, weâll set up. We all enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this place for you to stay.
We all enjoyed our time especially sitting on the porch. Used the living room for evening game night and relaxed by fireplace. We even had a friendly game of bags in the yard that the owner had on the property.
Great location to everything but in a quiet nature filled setting with deer in the yard and barred owls calling at daybreak along with plentiful song birds.. cabin was very clean with all the amenities needed for a few buddies on a fishing trip and just perfect
Great place for a trip with kids. Nice yard and no fear of road danger. Good location for someone who is use to out of town living. Nice history, well kept. Very happy with our stay!
A girls trip, we are all mature women who wanted a comfortable place to do some cooking and relax after full days of sightseeing
The property was as I expected with it being a charming place.
There were plenty of seats for two but not 3 as that was disappointing even had to rearrange the kitchen table to eat meals.
The living room love seat was quite worn and not comfortable for sitting
The porch was covered in spiders and cobwebs. There was no soap at the kitchen or bathroom sinks as well as no towels We knew and did bring). I was disappointed in the shape of the cook wear. And with no easy to scrub the pans they were very worn. Dishes took longer than needed. There was a fly infestation and with the cleaning fee I paid I did expect to have the place cleaned.
It was charming and the beds were comfortable.
This is a gem of a location. Lovely antique filled farmhouse. the 3 sided porch and seating areas provided ample opportunity to enjoy our meals outside. Proper has ambundant privacy and quick access to Ellison Bay and Newport State Park. Would stay again.
A girlfriend's weekend was very much enjoyed in this sweet home. It was a nice break with being off the grid. Kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfortable, window air conditioner helped to make it cooler. Private location close to the ferry and restaurants.Only complaint is the musty smell. There was a dehumidifiers which helped.
Quaint, quiet, secluded, perfect for us! Love the wrap-around porch. People should be aware, however, that not only is there no wi-fi, there is also almost no cell phone connectivity at times. That's probably a good thing. probab thing. đ€
Convenient location for northern Door County access
The property was as described and met our needs. Ellison Bay and Sister Bay were convenient and near by for meals. Property was quaint and filled with old world charm.
