We were very happy with the top shelf home, it is on the sound side. it was beautiful. We loved hanging out around the private pool, and fishing from the private dock. The beach was a very short walk on the other side of the road. With this home you have the best of both sound and the beach.The host was amazing. We would stay here again. Definitely would recommend for a wonderful vacation week.

All the bells and whistles

This house has it all, everything about it is first class, pool, dock, just beautiful. Negatives lights not working on dock walkway made it hard to see at night, had speaker system, fan system but zero instructions for use

Great weekend away

We had a great stay during the off season. House had wonderful views and plenty of space for multiple families. Only suggestion would be a few more kitchen items for large groups - full coffee maker, more silverware, etc.

Beautiful views, great location

We loved our stay and had a great trip enjoyed by all. The house was difficult to get into and required help from the property manager who was so helpful and kind. The home looked clean but the floors felt dirty and sock feet were soon dirty when wearing no shoes. There were no rugs in the entire house except for one bathroom, on the stairs and in front of the upstairs sofa. The rugs on the stairs and in front of the sofa are badly stained. The sofas are well worn and uncomfortably low to the floor. If you have any stiff joints this is not the house for you. The foot stool/ coffee table in downstairs sitting area has large hole worn into the side and looks grungy. The stained rugs, lack of rugs and worn uncomfortable furniture take any luxury feel away along with no duvet covers on any of the comforters. The dock is great and boat lift looks fully functional but we did not try to use it. The pool is as advertised and very nice. The bed in the has a not so great matterass so we slept downstairs. A welcome book is really needed with instructions on using the stove top, the golf cart and locks. We enjoyed our stay and were happy to have our little dog with us. This house would be perfect for kids and young families.

Great family vacation!

Absolutely beautiful and spacious home and pool with amazing sunset views over the sound in Emerald Isle! Enjoyed fishing, boating, and swimming off the dock. Appreciated the golf cart and rented bikes for quick ride over to the ocean and some beach time. Perfect family vacation!

Great Vacation

Great location! Only 1 block from beach and a golf cart to get you there. The pool was great for our 4 grandchildren ages 6 to 3. The dock is very nice and the boat lift worked perfectly. Nice grilling options as well. Ice maker was very convenient. Like the name "Top Shelf"

Perfect Week

First time staying in the sound side of the Crystal Coast after years of beach vacations at Emerald Isle. We were thrilled with our experience. Top Shelf is exactly that - a very high quality home with every amenity as advertised. Hosts were immediately attentive to every question we had - and made for an amazing vacation week! Sunsets over the sound must be seen to be appreciated!
