Rude staff and dirty bathrooms!

Dreadful! Arrived to check in, mentioned myself and my partner were both unwell. She checked us in told us we were staying on the 3rd floor then laughed in my face when I asked if there was an elevator. She did not offer to help with our bags. I hurled them up many flights of stairs before getting to the room to find it was in the attic and unbearably hot. I went back to reception to ask if she had a room on a lower floor thinking it may be cooler but she laughed again. When I asked if there was a fan or small ac unit we could plug in and she abruptly and repeatedly said no before laughing at us again. I don’t know if the woman was psychopath if or had a a serious personality disorder but she should not have been in a service based role. Laughing at unwell guests is not just unacceptable, it’s horrendous behaviour! To ad insult to injury the room had a dirty bathroom, non natural polyester or acrylic bedding. I wanted to leave but all the hotels in the area were booked and we had completely run out of energy at this point.

A medieval setting with all mod cons

We enjoyed Etretat to the full, visiting both stunning cliffs and eating and drinking Normandy style. The hotel is full of eccentricity and charm, old carved staircases and stained glass windows etc.

Very old building but modern hotel

This hotel is in a great location right in the center of Étretat. It's two blocks to the ocean front. There are wonderful restaurants with a couple of blocks. I came later and was afraid I wasn't going to be able to get in but was able to get my room key and access number to the front door at the hotel across the street. The building is very old but the rooms are modern with antique furnishing. A completely modern bath. I may be going to Étretat again next year and will certainly stay here again! Breakfast is eh but then again breakfast isn't really a big deal in France.

Heel bijzonder gebouw, je moet wel goed ter been zijn. Jammer dat de bedden niet werden opgemaakt. Het ontbijt wordt per persoon precies afgepast en bestaat uit brood en jam
