Covered parking

I’ve been reserving rooms at the Curly Redwood since the early 90s. Being a motorcycle rider, it’s great having Covered parking. I always appreciate the staff accommodating my request to have a room close to where the office is so that I’m further away from the highway that passes through.

Staff very friendly. Beautful older rooms with amazing history. Remodeled bathroom was lovely and nice 50's style chairs, lamp and decor. Piece of history the owners are trying to maintain. Not a great deal in the town, but great stop over place. Recommend.

This property is a gem

Honestly loved this property, gave off mid century modern vibes. Spacious, clean, nicely appointed. It even had covered parking. I would definitely stay here again next visit.

Then staff we interacted with were very nice and professional. The room itself was retro and clean, but upon inspecting the mattress, it was stain covered and gross. The location of the motel is convenient, but in an area that felt unsafe. Saw quite a few unhoused people walking around across the street.

The rooms are dated but quaint. I was a bit concerned about the safety being right on 101. It it was fine and each room had a private covered parking spot which was nice.

The Curly is a charming place that has been under relatively new owners who have made various upgrades: new windows (lessening the noise from trucks) and reconfiguring the corner-shaped showers and sinks. Needed: brighter interior lighting along with upgraded chairs and furniture on which to lay out bags. Bring along 3-prong extension cords as electrical outlets are limited. We love the individualized carports and proximity to a very good restaurant.

The coffee maker was broken and one of the wall lights also did not work. the new mattress was too soft for me. the walk-in shower needs to have 2 or 3 disabled handrails.

This retro stay was everything it advertised! The mid century modern debut was spot on and our room was much larger than your average room. The original wood paneling and decor appropriate furniture were awesome. The bathroom was nicely renovated but small. The exterior door used an actual key which was a bit if a safety concern along with exterior subdued that needed to stay open to provide air flow since no ac. However felt safe and location was great across from marina. One warning if you’re a light sleeper. There is a faint horn in the distance coming from marina that sounds every 6 seconds. Did not keep me awake but may some if window needs to be opened. I’d definitely stay here again.

pillows did not offer sufficiently suppot. facilities were little older with a faint musty smell. Still was not something so terrible that would not make me stay again or recommend. The top bed spread had a little stain that made me wonder.
