Our whole experience was an excellent one. Michael the young man that checked us in gave me outstanding service. He explained everything clearly and the only question i had to ask was in regard to checking out. The room was very clean and comfortable. We have stayed in Evanston three other times at different hotels and all them were bad experiences. If ever we are in Evanston again we will be staying at Affordable Inn and not just because of the financial benefits.

Definitely dates but the rooms were clean, warm, and it was affordable (lol). The deadbolt on our door didn’t work so we weren’t able to lock ourselves in for the night but other than that no issues.

Good no frills hotel

The gal at the desk was kind but a little flighty but I would take flighty over rude any day. The room was dated but clean. For the price, would stay again without question.

A good value for the money.

No breakfast of any kind, only coffee. The hallways smell of the smoking days of old, but the room didn't at all. Mattress wasn't great quality, but everything was clean and taken care of. All in all a good value for the money.

Affordable, Simple, Pleasant.

Staff are all very friendly, (and entertaining I might add), and helpful. We did choose the place based on affordability. As such, being a bit older, but decently maintained place, it doesn't have quite so many things people would take for granted in newer motels. Yes, an ironing board and hair dryer, and a simple coffee maker. But very limited electronic plugs, no alarm clock, simple grounds. Things that are not needed for a weary traveler overnighter. They do have a very nice looking restaurant and bar, but being the off-(tourist) season here in mid February, it wasn't open. Pleasant place, easy access to town. So yes, we'd go back again, and recommend the Affordable Inn in Evanston.

I was scared cuz i hadnt heard about them and for that price! everywhere i looked was REALLT cleaned. Room was cleaned, shower temp and pressure was amazing !!!! The staff was awesome!!! would recommend this place to anyone. :)

Friendly staff

The person who checked us in was very helpful and thoughtful. He went out with us to make sure we were safe with the ice and offered to help with luggage. All the employees were very kind and made the place most welcoming.
