First room smelled of urine and so asked to be moved. Second rooms mattress was a few decades old and had a significant dip in the middle. I was moved AGAIN finally to a decent mattress. However, the lock had a part missing which made me feel unsafe. I slept with a suitcase against the door. U was surprised that the hotel didn’t even offer anything complimentary for the total inconvenience of moving TWICE!

Great location for exploring the area on foot. Nice selection of bars and restaurants in the area and the hotel is generally ok. We paid a small bit extra for a room upgrade and glad we did as the rooms are a bit dated. Having a balcony and sea view helped to detract from the tired interior. It was clean and complimentary provisions were good. The bed was ok but only average for comfort. I would visit again but only on a discounted rate. It doesn’t command top price at peak time ~ a refurb and updated furniture could make all the difference to this perfectly located older hotel.

Clean room. Plenty of hot water. Towels and toiletries all, as expected. Ideal location. Didn't think the £6 per night parking charge, even for disabled, was necessary, especially as it's off season, winter time.

Did not need the breakfast. Hotel a little dated in decor but comfortable and very good position in town. Staff on front desk fine when they bothered to look up! They need to be more customer aware. Just say hello if customers even only just passing by.

Staff are fabulous nothing is too much trouble.the room was comfortable and very clean, admittedly the hotel does need updating and apparently there are plans to do this next year . Breakfast is lovely it’s served buffet style but piping hot and its price is very reasonable. Evening menu is limited and basic but food is served quickly and hot. The lounge and bar area is a lovely place to meet up with friends and service again is excellent.we always look forward to staying here .

Great welcome from reception in arrival. The hotel has been very grand and is still well kept. A very comfortable stay and the breakfast was excellent.
