It's a lovely, historic building. The room was small but all we needed for our short, one night stay. My only 'complaint' is that being called a B&B to me means breakfast is included, which is not the case. There is an extra charge for breakfast. We were offered a wadsicount so given the convenience, its worth it. But having said that, the correspondence by text suggested that the staff would be able to help us as we are vegans and didn't know if the breakfas would 674 chatracters Add photos of your staybe ven friendly. The staff me barrier so it was somewhat difficult. We do truly appreciatember tried very hard toga assist but there was a language her efforst though and she was really trying to help.

First, I'd like to thank their front desk staff, very accommodating, friendly - great job! Had an airconditioning issue, where the fault lies on "load sharing" with other guests. According to their staff, the ACs of other guests must be set to cooling so that the ACs will work as it is. It's like the AC settings are chained-up. Perhaps it's a tolerable problem during summer when the guests are very likely using the ACs all in cooling mode. Just happened that we visited Florence during mid-to-end spring - kind of transitioning from breezy to warm days/nights.

Late night arrival, close to SMN train station

Late arrival into Florence via train so looked for a place to stay near SMN station. The B&B was abt a 5 mins walk. Self check in instructions were provided , all worked ! It was late so we were tired. Elevator is a bit old and small so if you have a lot of people or luggage it may take a few trips! Hostess was nice , did not have the optional breakfast option.

Very nice boutique BB with good a/c. The only issue I had was it was $18-20 euros to head into the city center. And at night, do not recommend walking in the area since it’s near the train station and at night that is when the problem starts all the sketchy people surround the area

Love the place! would stay here again next time. We got scammed by the apartment host in Milan! So I was very worried when I contact the host for this place regarding our possible late check-in after 9 PM, due to the delay of the train. But thank God! The host of this beautiful stay in Florence totally changed our impression on Italian people. When I contact the host about my late check-in, he offered detailed instructions with no additional charge at all, unlike the host in Milan. The room was clean and cozy, even though a little bit old. But after all, it’s an old building. So I can’t really complain.：）

We had a really lovely time staying with Sam and team. The B&B itself was comfortable and full of character. The area was reasonably quiet also. It was only a 20 min walk to most of the attractions Florence has to offer so very convenient. Sam was extraordinarily helpful, he provided us with many recommendations for things to do and places to eat. It was a lovely stay.

B&B Il Marzocco is the perfect place to stay if you want to be near the heart of Firenze! It's walking distance to everything, and closest to the train station (which we loved for our travels!). Sam and Angela go above and beyond in their charming ways to make your stay a true gem. Our room was perfect for a place to slumber and shower, and the daily breakfast included had a lovely variety to choose from (coffee machine for espresso/latte/etc./fruits/yogurts/musli/meats/cheese/bread/jams/tea/pastries). This B&B has a true Italian feel which made us feel we were staying more at a friend's home <3 Some reviews state that this place was in a noisy area-true, you can hear the traffic more than probably most places; however, that did not effect us whatsoever because my hubby and I love white noise (and we put on a fan noise to drown anything out). We definitely recommend this place and would stay here again! Grazie!

Good location, just around the corner from main train station. Excellent customer service, kind reception and very good breakfast buffet. 10 minutes walk from old town and main attractions. Highly recommend for city break.
