A great hotel and location in Florence

Pros: Great location, we walked out the front door to museums, cafes, etc... and close enough to allow us to drop off shopping and go right out again.
Location: Centrally located near museums, shopping, restaurants and cafes.
We decided to go to Florence on the off season, a bit cold and windy in January, but not bad, and wanted a premier hotel. Our last stay in 2015 was at the St. Regis. We selected the Bernini Palace based on reviews, price and location and were not disappointed. The rooms are small, for what we had, but very comfortable and quiet. We had drinks at the bar, very good, and had the breakfast buffet. We never had the opportunity to go to the restaurant as we were out seeing the city every night. We had a number of recommendations for dinner by the staff members with one great meal at Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco. Always make a reservation for dinner if you can, the restaurants seem to have an attitude about it even when being empty. The front desk and housekeeping staff were very accommodating.
