Bright loft in a historic building in the heart of the historic center of Florence, a stone's throw from Palazzo Vecchio and all the main monuments of the city.

Palazzo Vecchio Place is a very cozy apartment organized on two levels: on the lower level there is a large living room and the kitchen, while on the upper level we find the double bedroom which is furnished with two single beds that can be joined and a complete bathroom with shower.

The apartment can accommodate up to a maximum of 4 guests (in the living room there is a double sofa bed) and is equipped with Wi-Fi internet and everything needed to guarantee a pleasant stay in Florence.

Overall, this apartment was very disappointing. While the location is central, it’s quite noisy at night. We were disappointed by the lack of basic amenities provided in the kitchen: 1 bowl and 4-5 pots, no salt/pepper/oil etc. It very much felt as though the owner just threw things in that they had lying around. There was a washer, but it did a poor job of cleaning. Additionally, the description of the apartment failed to mention the 56, very steep steps to get to the apartment. If you’re traveling with a backpack, no problem but if you’re traveling with luggage, be prepared to break a sweat. If you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you. We were also promised a late checkout that, in the end, was not honored. The absolute worst part of this stay was the leaky toilet that soaked the foot towel for the shower. It was not water but urine that was leaking and the bathroom and loft ended up reaking of urine. It was disgusting and overall not worth the exorbitant price we paid.

The location is great. The bathroom was very moldy. Easy to fix issues should have been handled prior to check in— the mold on caulking and the shower curtain are things that should be taken care of and noticed by the property manager. We were excited to have laundry here, but unfortunately, it was filled with dirty water and smelled of mildew. The outlets were not traditional EU outlets and required an additional adapter that we had to move around the apartment. The check in process was not easy. We are familiar with the check in process at some properties in Italy as self check in and digital keys are not allowed. The check in directions did not specify or indicate how we would get the keys to the property, only to text them when we arrive. After waiting for 25 minutes outside the property, they showed up with the wrong key.Overall, great location, but for the cost of the property compared to comps in the area, it needs some TLC.

When we made this booking we didn't realize there wasnt any air-conditioning. Florence in the summer is blazing hot. There were only 2 fans that didn't work well because the blades were covered in dirty dust. It was incredible hot and uncomfortable. The chair furniture in the kitchen were mostly broken. The washer didnt work well. The bathroom was loaded with mildew and had no drainage outside of the shower stall. There were cobwebs and insects.

My daughter and I had a great stay at Palazzo Vecchio Place. The property was clean and close to many restaurants and shops. The kitchen had all the basics and we easily cooked several meals there. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but fine for our needs. A few things of note: there are 56 very steep steps to go up to get to the apartment. I am 5'1 and did fine in the loft but a taller person may have to duck under the wooden beams on the ceiling. The street noise is very loud, especially on the weekends. I would recommend this property to others.
