Wonderful city apartment with breath taking views over Florence.

The apartment, (70 square meter) is situated in the historical centre of Florence directly at the 'Piazza San Marco', one of the most beautiful historical public squares of the city. It is located at the 5th floor (without elevator) of an historical palace (XVIII century). The apartment, which has air condition is totally silent, from the balcony as well as from all windows you will enjoy a wonderful view over Florence and its monuments. From the kitchen (refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, oven and gas-cooker) you step on a nice roomy balcony where you can take breakfast while enjoying the wonderful view over San Marco Cathedral and the hills of Fiesole. The apartment has furthermore a large living/dining room with TV, two separate bedrooms (one with a comfortable double bed and a special view on the Dome of Florence) and a modern bathroom with shower. All main museums and monuments of Florence can be visited within walking distance.


How to reach us: By car: Highway 1 Bologna - Firenze, Exit Firenze Nord, direction 'centro', direction 'Piazza San Marco'. Parking 'Parterre' nearby at Piazza della LibertĂ .

By train: Florence main station (Santa Maria Novella) - 2 min with taxi or all buses with direction 'San Marco'.

By airplane: Take a taxi (15 -20 min) or take a bus (Narvetta, the tickets you get on the bus) until Florence main station (Santa Maria Novella), than take a bus with direction 'San Marco'.

Information to the surroundings: The apartment in Florence is located in one of the central squares of the city (Piazza San Marco) in the historic center of town.

This district Cosimo il Vecchio has left its mark. Within the walls of this area once the menagerie of the Medici family was staying. Today it is the student quarter, and during the semester, the Piazza San Marco is always populated by young people who are waiting for the start of their lectures and art classes. The Accademia di Belli Arti founded in 1563 is the oldest art academy in the world, dating back to Michelangelo.

The adjacent neighborhood to the San Lorenzo church is surrounded by a square, and a colorful market life reminds us that Florence was the city of merchants. Many of the offered products are real bargains, especially if you act like the locals with the sellers ...

bon séjour à Florence

nous avons apprécié notre séjour à Florence bien que cel n'a pas été aussi agréable que prévu. nous avons trouvé la ville pas évidente pour bouger ( bcp de touristes, trottoirs peu alrge, rues avec voitures) les attractions sont pleines, les rues sont étroites ce qui fait qu'on ne voit pas pas batiments.. le séjour est bcp moins agréables que Rome !! nous sommes allé à Pise et nous avons bcp apprécié ( la vieille ville , l'esplandae et les monuments). l'appartement etait idéalement placé pour tout visiter, et on a passé un tres bon séjour...

Vue superbe, situation idéale

propriétaire trÚs accueillant et sympathique. climatisation trÚs appréciable en août. logement trÚs calme, nous avons trÚs bien dormi face au Duomo. les 5 étages sont un bon entraßnement pour monter en haut du DÎme! tous les monuments sont accessibles à pied. quartier trÚs agréable. Nous le recommandons sans hésiter.

This apartment is centrally located and you have access to all the highlights of Florence. Communication with the host was excellent. The views from the apartment windows were breathtaking as well. Tram from the airport stops right in front of the front door making for easy transportation to and from. We had a couple of issues with the washing machine and toilet but the host did his best to fix them. What to keep in mind: there are over 90 steps to the fifth floor. It was not a problem for us however they are no joke as there is no elevator. The second bedroom shares a closet with the water heater and every time water is turned on it generates noise. We adapted for those that stayed in that room. In conclusion, the apartment suited our needs exceedingly and we had a wonderful time.

Tiberio is a wonderful host to work with. The apartment is incredibly well located (take train right from airport to the piazza) and central to shopping, eating, museums, etc. There are a bunch of steps to get up to the unity, but it’s really NOT a problem- (1) walk off your pasta and (2) beautiful view from the patio. We recommend without hesitation.

Our stay in Florence was great! Our host was very friendly and communicative. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The only draw back was the 5th floor and 96 steps with no elevator. This was clearly stated in the description and I just missed it. Lugging our suitcases up was difficult. The view was great!

The hosts were so very warm and welcoming! They were in constant contact and made check in seamless! I’ve been to Florence before and I found this LOCATION IDEAL! I arrived by train and could walk from the train station to the apartment
..easy to find
Had to laugh as I quickly realized the T2 Tram originates practically outside the doorway! That tram made it simple for day-tripping to many great destinations outside of Florence!!! Also
an easy walk around the corner to Galleria Academia, and the main duomo area just a 10 minute walk. LOCATION IDEAL! The apartment itself is very well equipped
I cooked often and had all i needed! The view from the front looks to the hills is Fiesole, and made for the perfect end of the day cocktail spot! And the view of the Duomo is stunning as you lay your head down at the end of a fantastic day! Also the shower has nice water pressure!!! My stay was about 30-days and the hosts checked in by message from time to time to make sure everything was good! I would definitely recommend
and would stay here every trip to Florence!!! Ciao!!

The property is in a great location in the city! A short walk to most attractions and the T2 tram is just outside the front door. It’s a cheerful apartment with a lot of natural light. It was very clean and comfortable. You’ll love the views from the windows. Helpful hint-Pack lightly for climbing the many stairs.

The property in general fit the description of the listing. However, there were some things that fell short of our expectations. Certain parts of the property are in need of some simple repairs/maintenance (e.g. The shower head would not stay in a position that allowed one to comfortably shower). The city views from the property are wonderful and they ease the pain of the climb to the fifth-plus floor flat. The location allows for easy walks to all the major attractions of Firenze as well as access to multiple forms of public transportation for those more distant locations. Not the best property we have stayed at thus our ratings.

While the stairs up to the apartment made us laugh each day the view and quietness once in the apartment made it all worth it. Youssef met us to check us in which they accommodated a later check in for us and we ended up being a bit early the hosts were gracious to work around our schedule. Youssef was funny and gave us some background information. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The balcony made everything worth it though in the evening to settle in and have a glass of wine overlooking the world below. Thank you so much for sharing your space.

Fantastic Views and Location

We stayed here for one month for some art courses in Florence. Apartment is as advertised, the views and balcony are the best part. Be prepared to climb a lot of steps to the top of the building. Also, a short walk away are the Academia and All’Antico Vinaio (Best Sandwiches ever). The hosts, Tiberio and Letizia, are very gracious and quick to respond to questions and concerns.

We had an amazing time in Florence. It was even more fun because of the location of this apartment. Check in was so easy. Apartment was clean. Beds were comfortable. The view at night from the small terrace was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Great spot on San Marco Square

This apartment was perfect for 2 couples. It’s easy to access the apartment from the T2 line as the stop is in front of the apartment door. The location is next door to the museum that houses The David. It’s a few blocks from the Duomo and you can easily walk to Ponte Vecchio. The apartment is on the 5th floor with no lift, so make sure to take that into consideration. Tiberio and Leticia were excellent hosts and it was easy to communicate with them. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Fantastic location for the Duomo and lots of restaurants & shops. Lovely view of the San Marco Square and very peaceful at night. Tram 2 stops right by the apartment so making the trip from the station very easy. Apartment was well equipped and had a view of the duomo. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. There are a lot of steps which were a challenge, especially with luggage, but that’s the trade off for a great rooftop apartment.

Sisters dream trip

Tiberio’s place was perfect for me and my sister. We each had our own bedroom, the bathroom was a good size, the living spaces were great, but our favorite spot was the terrace, big enough for us to enjoy wine and the views were spectacular. Also, the location was perfect! Tiberio was an excellent host!

Stayed 3 nights in May 2025. Could not have been happier with the property from start to finish. Great location, responsive, helpful host, and a view of San Marco Square and the Tuscan countryside we will never forget!!
