Welcome to 1661 East Ashley Avenue, your perfect summer retreat! This vacation rental is an oceanfront property (please note though you are right on the beach, this owner does NOT have direct beach access but there is a public beach access just a few houses down) and a delightful place for a quiet beach getaway. This 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom beach house offers stunning ocean views from the upper deck and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. Nestled on the serene end of East Ashley Avenue, this Folly Beach vacation rental provides a peaceful escape while keeping you close to highlights like the Morris Island Lighthouse and the popular Washout surf spot.

This well-maintained home is available for rental only during the summer months (June, July and Aug).

Folly Beach, fondly called “The Edge of America” by locals, is a vibrant, golf-cart-friendly community filled with charm. This family-friendly destination offers a variety of attractions and is ideal for those seeking a Charleston beach rental experience. The beach path in front of the house is private property and not for guest's use. There is a Public Beach Access about 3 houses down for easy beach access.
Contactless Check-In: This home offers a keyless entry system, and we will provide the code before your arrival date.
There is plenty of parking in the driveway.
We do not provide beach equipment, but anything available at the property is yours to use.
Check-in time: 4 pm. Check-out time: 10 am.
The Folly Beach noise ordinance is from 10 pm to 8 am.
No pets allowed. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are not allowed in properties unless specifically designated in writing as “pets considered” and approved by our office.
No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house.
House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited.
The occupancy can be at most 6 people at any time during your stay.
We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking.

Much needed respite

Thoroughly enjoyed it! Very nice place, great beach view, and really close to public beach access. House was like new (must have recently been remodeled) and it was very quiet and away from the crowds. Yet it was close enough to bars and restaurants that there was still plenty to do, and lots of good food to eat. Highly recommend!

Misleading

To be listed as a beach front, ocean front property and even list in the description “beach path” is extremely misleading. Yes there is a path from the house directly to the beach and yes it is directly on the beach at the ocean. But to take that path and then get on the beach or to the ocean, you have to master a 3 foot drop off the sand embankment down to the beach. No where does it mention their check out process either. Load the dishwasher and take out trash (pretty normal) but then gather all the towels, bed sheets, pillow cases, hand towels, bath towels and put them in the mesh laundry bags and place them at the front so the laundry service can get them?? Also, if there is carpet or rugs they provide a vacuum and want you to vacuum them before leaving. Not sure why you have to pay such a high cleaning fee and linen fee if your required to do all that. I’m sure they say it says on the sheet “if you don’t mind” but then if you don’t you’re technically breaking their house rule and they could put a claim with Vrbo against you. Very poorly managed by this property management company.

Perfect location and super clean

This home was perfect for our small group. Very bright and clean. I didnt read the guestbook that was sent to me (my mistake) and was surprised by the lack of some things such as beach towels and beach chairs and kitchen goods like aluminum foil, coffee filters. The weather was awful so we were very thankful for the large collection of puzzles and board games. We made sweet family memories with our preteens who would normally never sit down with us to complete a puzzle.

Wonderful house, great location!

Quiet area of the island was ideal. House was well maintained, decorated and cleaned. Just the right amount of dishes/cookware. We had an issue with the dishwasher which management dealt with in a timely manner. Really appreciated the great communication. Would definitely stay here again!

First time folly

Enjoyed the house. Especially fenced in yard for our dog. Below the deck would be a great space for a swing or hammock! We enjoyed sitting under there in the shade. Could have used some extra pillow cases for the extra pillows available. Also an iron and ironing board would be nice too. The non leather couch could use a cleaning or replaced . But these are minor observations....A very nice place to stay.

Our family of four (and dog) thoroughly enjoyed this beachfront home. The home was comfortable with everything we needed. We enjoyed the gas grill for dinner at home and the local restaurants were great for our nights out. The fenced in yard area was perfect for our furry family member.
