The room was really small. The hotel lobby was full of clutter and then room I was in the shower was so noisy it sound like the showerhead was about to come off and hit me. The heat barely worked and for the price I paid was ridiculous.

Room had a molded fridge inside room, no hair dryer as advertised as it was "stolen from previous guest". Then found an unknown white crystalized substance inside my room that housekeeping appeared to miss. Manager promised prorated refund that was never honored, and it seems their auto solution is to switch rooms when both of those incidents were in two separate rooms/separate stays. It is the cheapest in the area for a reason. I have documentation of all incidents including photos.

we had a 2 queen bedroom. 1 washcloth, 1 hand towel, 2 towels. The bathroom fan would not turn off. bugs everywhere in the bathroom. dead bugs found in the sheets. Only 2 pillows - 2 different colors of white. Make up found on the sheets. It had a desk - no chair. Breakfast was pathetic. Biscuits and gravy - at 8 1 biscuit left barely any gravy. 1 yogurt. No eggs. I have never stayed in such a horrid hotel. this was a terrible experience. I checked in 2 men behind the counter. The man helping me walked away to check a room on the 1st floor to see if it was ready for us. We then were given a room on the 2nd floor that was TERRIBLE. I would recommend NO ONE stays here and would question how they are still part of a franchise.

My stay!

Check in was good, fast service. My tub had other peoples hair in it, blanket had a huge stain, yellow on it!! And the A/C DID NOT WORK! We only slept in the room, but having to clean my own room before showering after arriving late was disappointing.

The lighting in this hotel was poor. They use low wattage bulbs. The hallway and room were dark. There was no light above the desk area. Other than that, the room was comfortable and clean. Aside from the lighting I would recommend this hotel. This seems to be a practice with many hotels. They are using lower wattage bulbs to save money, but making it hard to see in the rooms. With the cost of the rooms, use brighter bulbs. Some people have a difficult time in low light.

Unfortunately here, you get what you pay for.

Trying to save a little money on lodging while shopping online, I came across the Microtel Inn & Suites. Based on some reviews, cost and pictures I opted to reserve a room here. The best quality of this location was the "usually on a cell phone call" but friendly staff. Roadside signage to this location didn't exist. Trying to find this location at night using navigation was a chore. Our single queen room was clean but felt cramped. It included an average size flat screen TV, a small refrigerator and microwave. Wi-fi connection was hit or miss at times. The bed mattress was worn and stiff. The box the mattress was on squeaked when getting in or out and rolling over on my side of the bed. The climate control unit was loud and difficult to manually dial in a temp setting that wasn't too cold or warm. Some towels had rust stains and the bathroom always had a subtle musty odor. The advertised spa was down for remodel or maintenance and the ice machine in the lobby was in need of work too. Slamming the side of it with a palm didn't drop the prepared ice as proven by a staff member. The Continental breakfast was mediocre and not actively restocked. The local truck stop diners were good alternatives. Next time, I would pay extra money to stay at another place. I can't recommend this one.

I stayed here for 7 days, and not once did someone come in to clean my room, no new sheets, no new bath towels unless I directly asked which is fine I don’t mind asking , but every hotel I’ve been too always has someone come in and clean through out the day. My biggest complaint was the smell of the place, not only my room but the hallways smelled so bad to where my clothes begin to smell like the place. Overall it could’ve been worse but could’ve been a whole lot better.
