The layout of The Salt House encourages socializing with family and friends while providing spaces for relaxation and seclusion. The greatroom offers vaulted ceilings and french doors that open oceanside to the pool deck and to the sunset porch on the front of the house. Relax in the cozy seating from Restoration Hardware in front of a Samsun 75" Smart TV. The greatroom flows to the dining area and kitchen. The kitchen has been purposefully laid out for an enjoyable cooking experience, while staying connected to conversations. It also features a large picture window to give you access to the outdoor entertaining area and a dreamy view of the ocean. All furniture in the home is either Restoration Hardware, Bungalow Home, or built by a local craftsman.

The Salt House features expansive outdoor living spaces. The oceanside centers around the heated infinity pool with its stunning view and swaying palm trees and tropical landscaping. The poolside beach bar was inspired by the Caribbean’s rustic rum bars and built using wood salvaged from a local shipwreck. It’s the perfect setting for conversations over an ice-cold Kalik or rum punch. An outdoor shower off the Beachfront Cottage makes for easy movement between the beach and pool or for showering under the sky or stars. Dining alfresco is the epitome of Caribbean living and you'll enjoy doing so on the locally crafted dining table on the covered porch as you taken in the endless views. A standup paddle board, 2-person ocean kayak, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, life jackets, sand toys, and a variety of board games and card games are provided.

Sustainability in travel is important to us. A Solar Power system with a battery backup was added December 2017 and expanded upon 3 times over the years to supply nearly 50% of the house’s electrical power and provides backup power for the main house bedroom air-conditioners, entire beachfront cottage, refrigerator, modem and wifi router and TVs, and select lights, among other areas. Other eco-friendly features of the home include local drought-resistant plants for landscaping, refillable glass water bottles, and energy efficient upgrades throughout.
