Islander Beach Resorts have access to one of Okaloosa Island's largest gulf-side pools, a shuffleboard court, and a barbeque grill area. Islander Beach Resort has a two vehicle limit.

Disappointing condo

We were very disappointed in our stay this year because the condo was very dirty. The furniture was so stained that it was unpleasant to sit on and the floors were filthy. Bedroom carpets were dirty, and there was a build up of dust on fans and bathroom fixtures. Slats missing on the vertical blinds had been stashed behind the sofa. Balcony furniture was stained and one of the high top chairs had a broken arm. The artwork was faded and the glass was dirty. It was also surprising that the balcony door had condensation between the panes leaving it so cloudy that you couldn’t really see clearly through it to enjoy the view. Appliances were fine, but kitchen was poorly stocked. Mismatched dishes, lack of coffee mugs, no storage containers, tongs, whisk, etc. We have rented condos in Ft. Walton many times in the past ten years and have never been so disappointed. We would have looked for another condo if we hadn’t already invested so much in this one.

Great location for Spring Break!

We were very happy with the property overall - clean, beautiful views and easy access to everything. Living room could use new furniture and check-in was frustrating as “check-in beginning at 4:00” apparently means check-in between 4:00-6:00 so we had to sit in the car for an hour before getting the code to the condo. Other than that, we had a wonderful trip!

What a beautiful view

It was exactly what we were looking for ... beach access; hearing and seeing the beach with our morning coffees and evening drinks from the balcony; far enough away from hotels with Spring Breakers. Truthfully we didn't venture out do anything, besides walking and reading on the beach, relaxing and doing nothing. The condo was clean, simple, and felt bigger than we thought it would be, layout was good.

Great place, great view!

Great place, very clean, incredible view! Ocean was fantastic, the included beach rental chairs. Tried to cook in more due to the covid situation, and the place could use a pan or two and some additional kitchen items (e.g. sponge, dish soap, etc). But other than that, it was basically perfect!

Destin short vacay

Our stay was overall very good! Condo was clean and in a great location. The only items needing attention are 1. the living room furniture needs to be updated; 2. the kitchen needs some cooking pots. There was not but one skillet and it was very small so we had to purchase one. However, overall this was a great place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

Old & Rusty

The Islander is a great resort. Very minimalistic, and perfect for a long weekend stay. The check in process was so simple, and we did get to check in early as well. Our floor plan was great! Hey perfect for multiple families. It’s a split floor plan so you are able to have as much or as little privacy as you’d like. My biggest complaint is the old stingy smell of the carpets and comforters in the bedrooms. The carpet is very very old, and flattened down completely from all of the traffic. Our comforter had to be at least 20-25 years old. It all smelled like it was that old, too. The king size bed in the second bedroom sinks to the middle and is pretty uncomfortable. It looks like the owners are working to slowly make updates to the condo. Appliances and living space floors have all been updated. If you decide to stay, definitely make sure you bring some extra blankets for sleeping!! Overall, it was a nice place for a long weekend. I’d stay again, but would make sure to bring additional items you wouldn’t necessarily need somewhere else. The vacation rental company gets 5 stars, too! That whole process was a breeze for both check in and check out.
