This villa is located at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort on Okaloosa Island. Villa 505 offers breathtaking views of Choctawhatchee Bay, Okaloosa Island, Destin, and the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Rise early for a breathtaking sunrise or watch the fireworks over the Destin Harbor on special occasions. Located on the gulf side of the resort this unit is only steps away from the sugar white beaches.

The large private balcony is a great place to enjoy a peaceful breakfast in the morning or a romantic dinner in the evening. Stay entertained with the 37-inch flat screen HDTV, digital cable with HBO, DVD player, 19-inch TV in the bed area, and free high speed WI-FI. The full kitchen has everything you need including a refrigerator/freezer, 2-burner stove, convection microwave, a drip coffee brewer, filtered water, dishwasher, coffee maker, and blender. The Villa can sleep 4 with a queen size bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The spacious bathroom offers a large garden tub for relaxing soaks and a stand alone glass door shower.

Not very clean!!!

The dresser was (is) so wobbly it felt like it was going to fall apart, drawers didn't close all the way. The other closet dresser for hanging your clothes was so out of wack, the wooden bar fell out of the holder. Didn't even use the dishwasher, we got there and it had water sitting on the bottom of it, Not sure how long that's been in there! Could barely open the deck sliding door, it felt stuck every time. And finally, the black mold was a really nice thing to stare at every time we used the bathroom.

Vacation/ Softball 2021

We came for a little vacation time and to play softball. Location was great for us. Enjoyed being on the beach and was a short drive to the softball fields. Condo was a good size for a family of 4.

Good price, beautiful beach, and comfy bed. Nice view from balcony, but tranquility marred by constant noise from the nearby highway. Need a new coffee maker.

Deceptive wording

I secured a 1 bedroom rental. Confirmed the details of the 1 bedroom rental. Received a studio with one bed. A bedroom has a door ~ very deceptive VRBO listing.

Short family vacation

The location was great. The bed was a little hard. Brought a couple of things to cook in the oven but the only oven was a microwave convection oven. The room didn’t have any pans for the oven. Don’t know how they clean the floors but if you walk around barefoot or with socks they are black that night. Probably paid more than it was worth but besides that the place was good.

Fun resort! needs improvement

We loved our stay. The facilities are great. However this villa is in need of a few repairs and updates. First the bed was very uncomfortable with a cheap mattress and pillows. Bring extra pillows! The shower needs new tile and grout. The wall beside the shower had a black moldy area and was missing drywall. It could be easily repaired. We could not enjoy the outdoor seating because the outdoor furniture was horribly rusty! The front door has a significant gap at the bottom. The resort staff were very unclear regarding towel exchange. We stayed 3 nights and the villa only provides 4 towels. For four people this was not enough. We were told we would have to go wash towels next door at The Island hotel at their laundry. On vacation I do not want to go to a laundromat to wash. The larger condos have washers and dryers so I understand why washing would be needed however villa's do not have washing machines. In the end we were given more towels from the front desk only because they had some available. The villa was clean otherwise and in a great location. If these repairs were completed it would be a very nice villa!
