Our quarters offers 8 individual cottages, each with its own charm as well as the original Ransleben-Moellering home built in the early 1800s and later updated for its modern charm. Each of these cottages bears the name of one of the family's children and boasts architectural elements that reflect the period in which they were constructed. The full community hosts a total of 22 guests.



The Space:

The Italian phrase 'Qui Si Sana' is inscribed on the entrance of the compound, translating to 'Here You Heal' and honoring the owner's heritage. Whether you're planning a family reunion, a romantic getaway, or a group adventure, this is the perfect place for you.



Within our collection of 8 cottages and the 1800s-era Ransleben-Moellering residence, you'll find an array of thoughtfully provided amenities. These include a compact refrigerator, kitchen sink, microwave, coffee maker, a charming fireplace, a relaxing hot tub, a spacious king-size bed, a television for your entertainment, premium-quality linens, and inviting outdoor seating areas. Unwind on the spacious porch, sip on a glass of local Fredericksburg wine, and take in the moment of healing relaxation.



This remarkable historic complex is a captivating blend of cultural heritage and contemporary upgrades. Its rich history and updates creates a seamless blend of history and modernity. The awe-inspiring 12-foot ceilings and the meticulously restored stone walls gracefully return to their former grandeur. Within this setting, natural elements such as hardwood floors, antique wooden furnishings with intricate details, and ornate handpicked chandeliers and light fixtures from the 1800s. These fixtures hold a special place in the owner's heart. They were meticulously handpicked and expertly restored to seamlessly function with modern electricity.



Guest Access:

When renting the entire Blacksmith Quarters, you will have access to the Ransleben-Moellering home, 8 cottages, and the gathering area with a grand dining table and seating for 10. There are 8 hot tubs in the property. Please note that the Bianca has no hot tub. Additionally, the gathering area is equipped with a compact kitchen, ideal for hosting intimate events or arranging catering services to enhance your family gatherings.



Some of the closet spaces are closed for housekeeping supplies.



To elevate your stay, we’re pleased to offer a complimentary wine tasting experience in partnership with Coordinates Winery. A custom tasting card will be placed in your unit upon arrival. Simply present it at the winery to enjoy a curated selection of fine wines. It’s a refined introduction to the region’s rich flavors and hospitality.

Also, enjoy complimentary entry to Crossroads Saloon & Steakhouse and Maggie's Speakeasy, both are beloved local spots known for their vibrant live music every Friday and Saturday night. Important: We are committed to protecting our properties and staying compliant with short-term rental regulations. As part of our protection plan, included in your booking price, you will be required to complete an independent third-party verification through Truvi. Before your booking begins, you will be contacted via email and/or text to confirm your details and complete the verification process.



To ensure a smooth check-in experience, you'll also be asked to review and sign the House Rules, FCM Homes Terms & Conditions, provide a copy of your ID and credit card details for incidentals and reason for visit via the Guest App Link sent in your reservation confirmation. Please make sure to complete both steps at least 24 hours before your arrival to receive your arrival instructions.



Please note that payments over $1,000 require a quick verification step. Guesty Pay Protect will contact you via email before your payment is processed to complete this verification. If the verification isn’t completed within 15 minutes, the reservation will unfortunately be canceled due to non-payment.



HOUSE RULES:

- Occupancy [ 22 ]

- Not suitable for kids and infants.

- Adults only property.

- Pets are NOT allowed.

- Smoking is NOT allowed.

- Fireworks are not allowed.

- Parties or events are NOT allowed.

- Quiet hours are from 10 PM - 7 AM.

- Primary guest must be at least 21 years old and present for the entire reservation.

- Please do not put any extra bubbles or additives into the hot tubs.

- Please cover the hot tub after each use.

- Do not light the Fireplaces by the switch located inside the fireplace.

- The switch by the bed is the only method to be used to light the fireplace.

- If any furniture is moved, please place it back in the original space where it was found.

-Please place all trash in the designated trash bins in the parking area.

- In the event that you need to use the hard key, please place it back in the lockbox before departing. Failure to return any keys used to the lockbox will result in a $50 replacement fee per key.

- This is a dark sky community. Please be sure to shut off any lights when they are not in use. A Dark Sky Community is a designated area that takes measures to reduce light pollution, preserving the natural night sky for the benefit of both people and wildlife.



HVAC Rules:

Please do not set the home's thermostat above 76 (heating) or below 68 (cooling). To avoid overloading the system, please adjust the thermostat by no more than 2 degrees per hour and keep the doors and windows closed as much as possible. If you encounter any issues, don’t hesitate to contact us.
