The Cates Cottage exudes coziness and charm. The studio-style layout is designed for both convenience and comfort, featuring a king-size bed, a wall-mounted Smart TV, two inviting chairs, an intimate dining table, and a well-equipped kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. The bathroom boasts a spacious, beautifully tiled walk-in shower, a marble vanity, and a cozy nook for your belongings.



After a day of exploring boutique shops on Main Street, visiting local wineries and breweries, and soaking in the hill country’s natural beauty, relax on the covered front deck and enjoy the breathtaking sunset. For cool country nights, light up the fire pit and stargaze under the clear night sky. If you prefer a quiet evening in, pick up some groceries and prepare a delicious meal in the kitchen or on the charcoal grill.

Guest Access:

✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $53 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.5 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

6. Set the A/C no lower than 72 degrees to prevent freezing and system issues; no refunds for low-temperature-related A/C problems.

7. Start-up sundries provided for the first two days; report missing items within one hour of arrival.

8. Pet-friendly units welcome pets with an additional fee; ensure pets are well-behaved and respectful.

9. Bugs are common in the Texas Hill Country; pest control is in place, but some insects are inevitable.

10. In Texas, there are periods of time without significant rainfall causing the county to place a ban on burning. Please check the current burn ban status, before using the fire pit (if available) at your vacation rental.



For any issues during your stay, a 72-hour window after check-out is provided to file a claim. Note that refunds won't be issued for claims submitted after this period. We appreciate your cooperation.
