Our recently renovated property with modern finishes and thoughtful details is designed to offer you the most comfortable and enjoyable vacation experience possible!



The Space:

Whether you are planning a cherished family vacation or a rejuvenating weekend getaway with your closest friends, the Hummingbird Haus & Mimosa Cabin are your perfect haven. Our two charming structures on the property, each with their own unique amenities, promise an experience beyond compare.



Inside the main house, the Hummingbird Haus, you will find four cozy bedrooms and two bathrooms thoughtfully arranged to provide comfort and relaxation. There is also a charming guest house, the Mimosa Cabin, featuring an additional bedroom and bathroom so everyone in your group can enjoy their own private retreat. Both the main house and guest house are fully equipped with their own fire pits, laundry rooms, living rooms, and kitchens, giving you space, flexibility, and privacy throughout your stay.



Step outside and enjoy the expansive property with room for outdoor games, lounging, and gathering together. Just a short 3 minute drive from the heart of Main Street, you can easily explore Fredericksburg’s shops, restaurants, and local attractions.

Also, please note we have routine pool / spa maintenance scheduled midweek. Typically, maintenance will take roughly 15 minutes, and the pool / spa will be available for use after the service is completed.

The only part of my stay that truly disturbed me was the conversation that followed after a package was stolen.A FedEx package was delivered to the front door of Hummingbird Haus at 11:20 a.m. on 3/13/26. After searching around the house and even driving out to the main road to see whether it had been moved, I contacted the owner. The owner responded by saying, “we usually don’t allow deliveries,” and then asked for the delivery details. I sent the information along with a photo showing the delivered item with the house in the background.Because the situation continued to bother me, I asked whether there were cameras on the property that could be reviewed. The owner told me there were no cameras on site and that I needed to check back with FedEx. What made this especially upsetting was that there was, in fact, a camera at the main entry of the house, which is exactly where my package had been left. That made the response feel misleading and frustrating.Since my friends and I were only there for the weekend, I had to accept that the package, which had been sent as a birthday welcome gift, had been stolen. The house itself was clean, and the firepit, beds, and bathrooms were all very nice, but this situation made it difficult to fully enjoy the stay.I would say this property has its positives, but I would strongly recommend not having anything delivered there.I also have photos of the camera facing the patio and front door area, as well as FedEx delivery documentation

This was the PERFECT house for us! We to TX for my MIL's 100th b'day. After the party, the families who live in Fredericksburg came to our place to hang out. They had a blast! This house has EVERYTHING one could ask for, even electronics chargers in every bedroom--no need to take your own! It was clean, beds were extremely comfortable, plenty of towels and hot water for our large family, and even a Christmas tree to welcome us!!! Joe was the best "host" I have ever dealt with. He was quick to respond to any questions we had and such a pleasure to "talk" to each and every time. We found our FOREVER home away from home when we go back to Fredericksburg. Thank you, Joe, for providing such a wonderful place for our family!

Hummingbird Haus is a truly special place. It’s perfect for family gatherings: some of us stayed in the main house while others stayed down the hill in the Mimosa Cabin. Both spaces were cozy, quiet, and thoughtfully set up, each with a kitchen equipped with all the cookware and tools needed to make any meal. We cooked in both places and were impressed by how well everything was provided.This property is a gem, and we fully intend to return.

Wife’s Birthday

We decided to have a last minute trip to Fredericksburg for my wife’s birthday. We had 10 people stay at this listing. Seven at the Hummingbird House and three Mimosa Cabin. The house itself is incredibly close to town, 3 minute car drive, but far enough out where we heard or saw no other cars or noise. Great for relaxing. The outdoor space is great with the firepit and string lights. It was cold the weekend we went, but this would be a great space to hangout on warm nights. Check in was easy, and the owner was very quick to reply to all of my questions leading up to the weekend trip. Overall, I would recommend this house and stay here again in the future.

Great Place for a Family get together

This place is amazing if you are looking for somewhere around Fredericksburg for your family. It is minutes from town, it was clean, the host is very responsive! You can NOT beat the price for when we went! This will be my first place to look if we do a trip like this again. Every family had their own space, but it was big enough to hold us all and not feel cramped.
