Summary:
The Homestead, originally built in the 1880's and just one block off Main St., is a stunning luxury estate which has undergone a recent total renovation. Located in the Historic District, The Homestead consists of two homes (The Main House and The Carriage House) and is ideal for couples, large groups, family reunions, or a large friends retreat. The combined 7 bedrooms sleep 14 comfortably in luxurious beds and has 5 spa inspired baths.
The Space:
The Main House has four bedrooms (two kings, one queen and two twins), three luxurious marble and granite baths, a large kitchen-dining room-living room, and two outdoor gathering spaces, including one with a fire pit. The 12-foot ceilings create an expansive feel to the home, but the highlight of this historic home has to be the private, underground, fully stocked wine cellar!
The Carriage House is situated directly behind the Main House and consists of three bedrooms (two kings, two twins), two luxurious granite and marble baths, a well-appointed kitchen, dinning room, and living area. Enjoy two additional outdoor gathering areas, one of which has a fire pit.
The large driveway provides for four off-street parking spaces. This Homestead is in a prime location just one block off Main St. Shops, Wineries, and restaurants area all just a few minutes walk out the front door!
Guest Access:
â This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1500 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $99.99 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.5 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - itâs a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.

2. Not all homes have cable; consider setting up a streaming account in advance.
3. Our team is committed to assisting you, though occasional check-in delays may occur during peak periods.
4. WiFi is available in all homes, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed. No refunds or rate adjustments will be made for mechanical failures, or discontinued or interrupted services that occur during your stay.
5. A $500 fine will be imposed for any evidence of smoking, confetti, vomit residues, or glitter.
6. Set the A/C no lower than 72 degrees to prevent freezing and system issues; no refunds for low-temperature-related A/C problems.
7. Start-up sundries provided for the first two days; report missing items within one hour of arrival.
8. Pet-friendly units welcome pets with an additional fee; ensure pets are well-behaved and respectful.
9. Bugs are common in the Texas Hill Country; pest control is in place, but some insects are inevitable.
10. In Texas, there are periods of time without significant rainfall causing the county to place a ban on burning. Please check the current burn ban status, before using the fire pit at your vacation rental. Check the amenities to see if this rental is equipped with a fire pit.
12. The City of Fredericksburg is an international Dark Sky Community. To protect the dark skies, please turn off outdoor lighting when not in use.
13. Only utilize the designated on-site and off-site parking spaces at your rental.
14. For any issues during your stay, a 72-hour window after check-out is provided to file a claim. Note that refunds won't be issued for claims submitted after this period. We appreciate your cooperation.

Almost 5 stars! The home is beautiful and very inviting. Itâs in a great location at the end of Main Street. Very walkable. Clean, comfortable beds, great linens. Our only issues stand from check in. Upon arrival, the codes did not work and I had to call repeatedly to get someone to answer and remedy the situation. Beyond this hiccup, it was a great stay and would recommend overall.
Check in and check out were the only hiccups of our stay. For checking in, the wrong code was sent to unlock the door. Then, the follow-up link disappeared. Same thing happened at checkout. I had no link to read the checkout instructions. Cozi was quickly responsive and rectified the problem.
Beautiful large home that accommodated all of us! Large community area where we could hang out. Plenty of bathrooms and everything was so clean. Great neighborhood area so close to Main Street! Off street parking for our 5 cars. We will be back for our annual trip!
This home was perfect for our group of adults. We rented both homes and it was perfect for gathering, close to the Main Street, well appointed with everything we needed. Upon arrival the back house wasnât cleaned and they were there within 30 minutes to clean it and have it perfect for us. Canât recommend this enough!
We enjoyed our stay very much but did have a few issues:
1) Front door lock was inconsistent
2) The parking stops had metal rebar sticking up
3) The driveway was way to steep for driving in or backing out of. Our cars scraped the bottom every time
4) Large roaches and sugar ants in kitchen
The house was unique and had several areas inside and out to gather together and visit. Thank you
Walking distance to Main Street! Beautifully decorated. Comfortable beds. Chris and Febe with Cozi were very helpful with any questions that arose. Will definitely return!
Beautiful house in a great location just off of Sayles Blvd (close to McMurry Univ). Very clean with everything you need and more. Owner was very friendly and great to work with. Will stay here again!
