The center of Frederiksværk with its canal area and pedestrian zone is also not far away. The town is known for being Denmark's first industrial town, as General Classen built a cannon foundry (Gjethuset) here around 1700, which is now a cultural center. If you are looking for a sandy beach and waves, Liseleje beach is only a few kilometers away with many small, cosy stores and restaurants.
