Surfside beach getaway

This is an older home but it was very clean and well kept. Some repairs are needed but nothing to hinder a great getaway. The hosts and guest contacts were awesome friendly and helpful and always respond when needed. We enjoyed our weeklong stay do much.

The owner and property manager were very helpful during our stay! Tropical storm surge caused flooding but that only kept us from beaching walking. The short walk to the beach from the house was nice. King size bed was super comfy! We had a great stay and would consider staying here again.

Not worth the money

Stayed 4 days here this past weekend. Upon arriving and unloading, someone showed up to bring us a cooler and ice because the refrigerator was 60 degrees. We had 4 adults, 2 babies and a 5 year old. There was a lot of food/ expensive food at that. No one notified us of this before our stay and according to other reviews it has happened to multiple other people. Not only that, we bought trash bags, paper towels, dish soap and kitchen towels. The house was not clean upon arrival. The babies feet were black within 5 minutes of playing on the floor. Showers were very dirty and brown bath mats from dirt. I’m normally go with the flow but there’s too many things on my list not to complain. I reached out to property contact who said someone would be coming- no one showed. Property manager reached out and made excuses for everything. We would have left and went to another property had we been given a refund but after spending my entire trip on the phone with VRBO and the property management team- all that was offered was $124 after spending $1,200 on our trip. Will not be back.

First the host never responded when I reached out about earliy check-in, Thanks to the VRBO rep, The stove did not work, the fridge stopped working and we ran out of toilet paper, and there were no face towels, yes the beach view was great that’s the only good thing came out of this house stay

We had a great time in Surfside beach Texas

I really enjoyed my stay here. The place was nice and has been repainted blue. There were very few negative things I can think of. One is the lawn crew waking me up at 7am on Tuesday morning. It might be better to schedule this later, or when there are no guests in the house. Also, the AC seems to have a little trouble providing adequate ventilation to the bedrooms in back.

The location is great, steps to the beach. Fits 4 guests comfortably. The photos should be changed, advertised are old. Different furniture, set up, even home is a different color. We were looking forward to the hangout below, it is not the same as photos shown, a charcoal grill and some loungers that were not usable were there. Bring your own essentials!

Ideal experience for iconic Surfside

We have been coming to Surfside for years now for exceptional surf fishing. It’s a place we love. The Sea Esta is a comfortable and welcoming place well equipped for anything you might need during your stay. You won’t be disappointed. Jodie is an exceptional host.

Great place for a family getaway. We had very minor issues. It was clean when we arrived, beach was accessible, and almost everything we needed was there when we got there. I’d say a family of 4 is comfortable, it would be a little small for a larger party. Highly recommended, we would stay there again.

Quick get away

We needed a quick getaway and it was perfect little house. Literally a minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes to the beachfront restaurant. Friday night listened to the live music on the front patio, quiet in the house. With the recent storm the sand had sifted in front of the house, we found backing in the easiest way to get in and out. Loved it we will be back!!

We live in lake jackson and just wanted to get away to the beach for the weekend and Sea Esta was perfect. Our first day there it rained all day, but it didn't matter we still had a great time hanging out, reading, and playing board games. It's a quick walk to the beach. several places to pick up food are nearby. neighbors were friendly. we loved it!
