Perfectly located in the Old Town area and within easy walking distance of many restaurants, shops and Funchal town centre, yet in a tranquil side street, this quality air-conditioned villa with private pool is the perfect choice for a relaxing family holiday or adult break.
The lovely spacious open-plan living area, with a sunken lounge, large family dining table and modern, fully equipped kitchen is airy and features large glass panels that allow in lots of light.
The surrounding front terrace, pool deck and side barbecue and outdoor dining area is complemented by a seating area with sea-view.
The games and leisure room is a great social point for all the family and features a pool table, sofa and Playstation 4, and some simple fitness equipment.
The three first floor bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms and a common south facing sunny front balcony
The roof terrace has spectacular views over the rooftops of the old town area right across Funchal to the cruise port and the sea – perfect for private sunbathing and the New Years Eve firework display.
This is one of very few villas in Madeira located in town, which means a hire car is not required. The local Lido, restaurants, bars and all the facilities of Funchal are on your doorstep. For those days you wish to hire a car to explore Madeira, Old Town Villa has a private garage that can hold up to 2 cars.

Barreirinha Bar (a great gin bar overlooking the sea) and Barreirinha Lido with sunbathing facilities and access to the sea is only 300m away. A further 100m brings you to Rua de Santa Maria with its many restaurants and bars and onto the Farmers Market.

Cleaning
The property is prepared for your arrival. For stays of longer than 7 nights, a change of linen and towels, and light mid-stay cleaning of bathrooms is provided on a day and time to be advised at check-in.
All linen and towels are provided.
For health reasons, linen for a baby cot is not provided and you should bring your own.
Guests need to vacate the villa during a mid-stay clean and change of linen.

Booking Notes
The advertised prices are based on a 4-person occupancy and supplements apply should anyone join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a non-refundable deposit or the full amount if the reservation is made within 8 weeks prior to arrival.
A security deposit of 300€ is required, charged in advance to a credit card. This will be returned to your credit card within 5 working days after your departure, subject to the villa being returned in good condition.
The minimum stay is 07 nights.
Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.
Check-in times - at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made and an additional cost will apply.
Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out.

The payment of a Tourist Tax has been implemented for all arriving visitors on or after 01 October 2024 across all of Madeira and Porto Santo by the local Municipalities.
This applies to all visitors to Madeira aged 13 or over, and costs 2€ per person per day up to a maximum of 14€ per person.
Your accommodation is responsible for collecting these amounts and paying them on your behalf to the applicable municipality.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:

Leaving the airport take the dual carriageway in the direction of Funchal (road known as the Via Rápida).

Leave the via rapida at exit 12 signposted Funchal/Campo da Barca




This exit takes you into a loop passing under the motorway and to a T-Junction with a set of traffic lights.

Turn left at the traffic lights and keep to the left.

At the next set of traffic lights, enter the tunnel and drive down towards town.

Go across the next 2 set of traffic lights, then move to the left hand lane and stay in that lane.

Go across the next 2 sets of traffic lights, always keeping in the left lane.
You will now be doing a ‘U’ turn at the next set of traffic lights. First turn left onto a small bridge keeping to the right lane, then turn left again. Keep to the right lane, and then move to far right hand lane and turn right at these last traffic lights.



At the roundabout take the first exit to S. Gonçalo, Cancela.

Stay on this road for approximately 800 metres until you come to a red wall ahead on the right. Turn right there into Rua dos Louros.

Drive downhill for 100 metres you will come to a T-junction, and there you turn right into Rua do Lazareto. This is a narrow 2-way street so take caution.

Continue for 200 metres, and turn into the second street on the right “Impasse No1 do Caminho do Lazareto”

Old Town Villa is the last house on your left at the top of this short road, number 9. You can park in front of the garage, and we will open this for you.
