Not worth the money

Hotel was fine, not really worth the money though. Rooms weren’t soundproofed, and the hotel itself isn’t in a great location. Front desk staff weren’t that friendly. Doorman was very friendly and kind which was as great.

Noisy Hotel under construction

Renovations and construction happening overnight in the building, with Jack hammers being heard above the room at 3am, was not able to sleep all night. Dirty pillowcases and beds, with someones hair left in the bed.

Basic hotel in need of renovation

This hotel is a bit run down, it feels pretty basic and needs renovations (very poor flooring). Location is not great, both for distance to the real point of interest, which is Galle's fort, and for being in front of a busy road which is very noisy although at night we slept well (ie no or little traffic at night). It can also be difficult to find taxis at that location unless you use tuk tuks which seem to have a bizarre monopoly in the area. Staff was very helpful though.
