Place of history, art and culture Galtellì binds his fame to the writer Nobel Prize of Literature Thanks Deledda and his novel Canne al vento, set in the streets of the village.
The project of the Literary Park includes visiting the places told in the novel and the attractions of the village in general. These include the Romanesque Cathedral of San Pietro, dating back to the ninth century and the Castle of Pontes, built in 1070 and recently restored.
In the heart of the village, in the parish square, stands the Church of the Santissimo Crocifisso, built in 1500, which houses a wooden statue of Christ dating back to 1300, and the church of Santa Croce (XVI century), oratorio of the homonymous brotherhood . Not far away is the Church of the Beata Vergine Assunta (seventeenth century), in front of which are the remains of the Convent of the Friars Mercedari (1611).
