Welcome to your own historic hideaway in downtown Galveston– with lofted ceilings, original exposed brick walls and loads of natural light, Market Loft A is a pure delight. The primary bedroom features a king bed and private balcony, the second bedroom has a twin/full/queen bunk bed. Restaurants, bars and shops are a quick walk away. Whether you’re looking to spend time on The Strand, the beach, or a quick overnight before a cruise departure, this loft is the perfect home base for your trip.

Location: Historic Downtown area of Galveston, Texas, half mile from the cruise ship terminal.

This is a historic building with early 20th century building materials and single-pane windows. Noise may be present.

Beach Access: Less than a 5 minute drive to the beaches at the Seawall.

WINTER TEXAN RATE: If you’re trying to escape to the Gulf Coast for the winter. Please ask us about our reduced monthly rates October 1 - March 1.

Rent BeachBox: Looking for beach gear for your Galveston getaway? We have you covered! Beach chairs and tents can be ready at the loft upon your arrival. Message us for details and rates.

Pest Control: Due to the coastal environment, mosquitoes & seasonal pests may be present. Professional pest control treatments are performed monthly.

WIFI: Free high-speed WIFI is available throughout the home.

Cable: We provide Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own Amazon Prime, Netflix, or other streaming service apps as well.

Pet Policy: One pet is welcome in our home with a $25 fee per pet. We ask that pets stay off all furniture, are cleaned up after in the yard, and aren`t left alone inside the home unless in a crate or kennel. Please message us if you’re planning on bringing your furry friend!

Parking: Free and paid street parking options on the streets surrounding the building.

Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Please look elsewhere if that is the intent of your trip.

House Rules:
- Guests must be 24+ to book the property.
- One-night stays must be approved.
- Groups larger than 5 need to be approved. We do not allow parties.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am.
- Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost.
- All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel.
- No parking allowed on lawns, yards, empty grass lots or other neighbors’ driveways, even if their home appears unoccupied.
- Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted unless explicit approval has been received from our team.
- Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm.
- Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.

Perfect location. Great size for just the 2 of us and our golden retriever. My husband hated the shower, it was a little tight so if you have difficulty getting into.a high tub or have dizziness/spatial issues this may not be for you. Also small narrow stairs leading up to the loft. But I loved the space, it was very comfortable and walking distance to all the best stuff! Would absolutely stay here again! Managers were also very responsive.

Cool apartment in a classic Galveston historic building. My wife beat me at Centipede on the old school stand-up arcade console. No problem with street parking. Short walk to The Strand or coffee shop/restaurants on Post Office. Cool scene at Daiquiri Time Out (and a secret bar?) a couple blocks away.

Short stay before cruise

The location of this property is no less than amazing. We some up that morning and the ship was 2 1/2 blocks away. The property was nice and bright. The only downside i had was i informed them that i was traveling with a elderly man (my dad) and they put us in a unit with about 2 flights of stairs straight up. Once he got in we didn't want to bring him back down to tour the town

Nightmare

So overall it was not a great experience. I get to the property and there was no parking. I then found the correct door and there was 25 steps to get the the apartment. Okay no big deal. As soon as i walk into property it smelt like pee and mold. The floor was filthy! My kids feet got black from being there for 5 minutes. I could not set my twins on the floor. They did not have the travel crib and highchair there like requested when i booked. I tried to get my money back so we could go elsewhere. They kept saying the would call me back. Nobody ended up calling back. Communication was horrible. At this point i was just ready to shower my kids and feed them and get to bed. I drove for 14 hours and i just didnt know what else to do. They sent some cleaners by and they asked me what wasnt clean and such. They poured product on the floor and just mopped it around without a bucket of water. Just product. The walls were dirty. You can tell that place hasnt been properly cleaned in months. Then the back door has a crack when its closed and huge cockrochas come in! We were stuck there for a whole week! About 4 hours after check in they did bring a pack and play. It was set infront of the door. No knock or anything. I never ended up getting a highchair throughout the stay. It was horrible. Worst experience i have EVER had. Only good thing was the beds were clean and comfortable. Sink and appliances were clean. I ended up going out of pocket & buying stuff to clean the floor.

Disappointed

It took us a while to find the exact location. Do not feel our cars were safe, parked out in the area. You really should’ve warned us that there’s no elevator and how high the stairs were for us to get to the top. We had to take luggage in and we are in our 60s so it was very difficult. We saw roaches in the bathroom. And I woke up from sleeping in the king size bed with what I believe or spider bites. I had a total about six. and they drove me crazy itching for the first couple days on the cruise. And it was not clear what we were supposed to do with the trash. He said to take it out, but not where to throw it away? I’m certain you’re not expecting us to haul it in our car somewhere. We’re leaving on a cruise that morning. and finally every time I called the phone number to try to speak with someone because we were confused about some things no one ever answered.

Easter Getaway

Our family of 5 booked this rental for Easter weekend. The location downtown was nice but parking was tricky as there was limited street parking avaiable. We eventually found a parking spot about a block away and my husband was able to move the car closer to the rental late in the evening. The apartment is up a steep flight of stairs. Once we entered the apartment, is was just as pictured. The space is large and has all the items needed to prepare meals. It was extra nice that there were spices like salt, pepper and garlic available. When we arrived the rental had a terrible odor. We did purchase a room deodorizer at the grocery store because the smell was pretty strong. We opened the window in the living room and that helped. With the fans on and the window open for a few hours, the smell improved.As for the beds, I was very impressed with the mattress topper in the master bedroom. Very comfortable. Our kids also slept well in the bunks. We loved the look of the rental and it served as a perfect location for our family Easter. The location was quiet and felt safe. I would recommend to others traveling to Galveston.
