Great hotel

Great location and friendly staff. Easy to valet. The only small annoyance was that the rooms don't have blackout curtains. Quite a bit of light is always visible because it is right on the square.

The Hardiman is fantastic. I write negative reviews when really warranted and ditto for positive reviews. In the case of the Hardiman, I can’t rave enough about our stay. Great breakfast, clutch valet parking, clean, quiet room, and fantastic location. Classy, but super friendly staff. Not cheap, but reasonable, and great value. Stay here when you are in Galway!

Perfect location

We had a lovely 2 nights stay in the Hardiman the day after storm Eowyn so it was understaffed but the staff that were in attendance were excellent! The food was exceptional, 10/10 Our only gripe would be that the bedrooms are quite dated and could do with some modernisation, but the foyer and the rest of the hotel were very nice and comfortable! Well located for walking around the city, would stay again !

Despite the issues at the hotel where there was total loss of water staff tried to maintain service unfortunately there was no contingency plans to provide temporary water supplies for sanitation and hygiene issues which forced customers to use facilities external to the hotel. This did taint our trip and it was a full 48 Hours before some service were restored. The hotel has agreed to a full reimbursement for our stay but this process is still ongoing.

I love that it’s got its old charm. The staffs at the front desk and restaurant are all super friendly. I love the hotel’s location across Eyre Square where the Christmas Market is located. Very convenient also to all transportation.

Perfect to explore Galway.

Loved my stay The Hardiman. Perfect location for exploring Galway. Was very impressed that my room had a full sized Christmas tree in it!
