Overall the upstairs unit fit the needs of our group. You can hear the basement unit very easily from upstairs while in the kitchen and front room, but it wasn't a problem for us during our stay. The master shower is not super comfortable to use and seems to have seen some water damage, but it gets the job done.
Property was great. Loved having the are for the kids and dog to run around in. The kitchen had lots of tools and even some spices etc. to help cook. Loved having a washer drier and hangers. Appreciated the extra blankets and fold up beds.
Good location, close to town. Clean and in good condition. Large utility room as you enter from the garage was great for storing coolers, beach stuff, etc. The LR/kitchen area layout was good for gathering and being together to eat, visit, etc. Nice place, good price.
Be aware, the downstairs is also rented. A little noise crosses, but not much. Didn't really bother us.
We enjoyed our stay in Garden City and from this house were able to easily do lots of activities. We walked to get ice cream (with the free coupons left by the owners), were able to easily access the Logan canyon train on a UTV, and get to the marina for a day at the beach. The house was clean and good for our family. I cooked most meals because the house was equipped with all the essentials + some. The kids loved the treats and snacks provided to us. I was happy to be able to do a few loads of laundry after our adventures. The only drawback was the oven smoked very badly when I tried to use it so didn't use it. Thank you!
The location is right off the 89 as you come into town from Logan Canyon. Itâs in Garden City overlooking the lake, but there is construction going on around it - the road in particular is being widened. It is within walking distance of the downtown area. Check-in is easy!!! You are sent the combination for the door locks that day. This upstairs unit includes a spacious garage that fit both of our cars. The unit is very clean! The oven did not smoke as mentioned in early comments. Everything is easy to use in the kitchen. We prepared and ate almost every meal there for 7 people for 5 days and it was wonderful!A nice touch was the provided laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash and soap in each bathroom! The TV was easy to use and my children enjoyed movies, and their video games on it!The beds are soft and extra blankets are provided if you need them. The fold-out beds (2) are thin so beware you can feel the slats underneath. The shower heads are a little tricky so take a minute to check them before using. They are attached by magnets and are not adjustable, but they are easy to detach and use handheld. The front porch has chairs and a table and is wonderful for dinner and to enjoy the evening.Tip: open the window in the evening and enjoy a wonderful cool cross breeze throughout the house!Reminder, there is a unit below so sometimes you can hear them but we did not really notice. We completely loved our stay!!!
Sadly it was not the best stay and I would not recommend this property. Iâm confused about the sleeping arrangements. The listing says it sleeps 14, the property paper on the fridge lists an occupancy of 12, and there are only proper beds for 11. Even more challenging, some of the beds are not usable. The pull-out sleeper in the master is extremely uncomfortableâso much so that even my 10-year-old wonât use it. The rollaway beds are more like thin camping pads, and even stacking them doesnât make for a decent nightâs sleep.Additionally, the master bathroom needs attention. The sink drains very slowly, requiring us to stagger usage to avoid overflow. The shower is also difficult to close properly and is dirty. It need to be deep cleaned and the door fixed, or better yet the entire unit need to be replaced. To top it off, the basement tenant has added to the challenges. The noise at night was disruptive; the door dividing the spaces is a hollow wooden door with a large gap at the bottom and does nothing to minimize noise. You can hear talking, laughing and TV noise and it was really difficult for the kids to fall asleep. We were woken at 11:30 PM by the smell of something burning from downstairs. Overall, itâs been a frustrating experience.
