Enjoy drifting off to sleep with the soothing sounds of gentle lapping waves on the beach. Then waking up in the morning & with only seconds away from your Studio, you could be enjoying the first swim of the day in the incredibly blue & calm sea of Hoopers Bay - undisturbed by any other people & only a Green Turtle or two to notice you.
Later, take out one of our kayaks to further explore the bay or spend some time snorkelling.
Too much activity? Then just relax & unwind on one of our beach loungers or sea-floats until time comes for a cool drink.

The Studio/Efficiency offers a KING bed (or 2 x Twin beds if preferred), kitchenette with 2 hot rings, fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee makers etc etc. Shower room with WC and Hand basin, dining area with table and chairs, loveseat, A/C and ceiling fan, flat screen cable TV with 53 major channels, radio/cd player. The A/C and ceiling fan ensure our guests stay in comfort.
Outside there is a private sea-facing patio with outdoor table and chairs for relaxing or al-fresco meals.
Just a few steps though our palm tree filled garden is the beautiful Hoopers Bay beach - regarded as the BEST TO STAY ON IN EXUMA and the only beach with resident GREEN TURTLES to watch or swim with !!
The 1/2 mile ( 1km ) long, soft white sandy beach slopes gently into the amazing blue, calm and safe sea for swimming, snorkeling, watching the Green Turtles or relaxing on our loungers and chairs. For the more energetic, we have FREE Kayaks for our guests to enjoy exploring more of the protected bay.
Although quietly located, George Town International airport is only 10 minutes away (our dedicated taxi driver will greet you there ) whilst the capital, GeorgeTown, is 6 minutes away. No need to drive or taxi to shops as we have a good range within a 5 minute easy walk for groceries, butcher and deli, pharmacy and liquor.
Flying to GeorgeTown airport ( GGT ) is straightforward with DIRECT daily flights on AA, Delta and United/JetBlue and Air Canada also have DIRECT flights from Toronto. More locally, there are several flights each day from Nassau on Bahamasair or Western Air taking about 35 minutes.
As we live nearby, we personally greet our guests when they arrive at Sandy Palms and are available when required to help with information or to arrange activities such as boat trips,etc.
