Amazing Beachfront Paradise - Chateau Monique

Welcome to your new favourite beachfront getaway! This family-friendly beach house is located right on one of the prettiest beaches on the West Coast of Barbados. It's perfect for groups of any size who just want to kick back and relax. The beachfront house has a large open living area that leads right onto a huge deck with lots of space for dining, lounging and tanning. Stepping onto the deck will actually take your breath away each time - the views of the sea are so pretty, and the sunsets are stunning. The deck is also partially covered - so you can lounge in the shade with a book or enjoy the sunshine.

The beach in front of the house is perfect - it doesn't get much better than this! Very easy swimming and stunning blues - if you come with kids their camera roll is going to be very happy. Snorkel, go for walks, tan, take part in water sports - the possibilities are endless. We can also arrange and recommend lots of local tours and activities if you want to do some island exploring. At the end of the day, stroll back into Chateau Monique and settle into the fully air-conditioned comfortable bedrooms.

The house comes with a housekeeper who has been with us for years, so you literally don't have to lift a finger while you're on holiday. If you're interested in meals being prepared just let us know! We also know the island back to front, and are happy to make local recommendations for everything from laid-back bars (called rum shops) or fancy dining.

Our favourite spots:
- The deck during the day with a cold drink and friends
- Lazing in the couch next to the bar looking straight onto the beach
- Under the palm trees right in front of the house on the beach

Chateau Monique is that perfect place you stumble upon and once you find it you will be back, This was our third year going and we have already requested next years dates. A lovely home on a beautiful quiet beach, the home was spacious and the deck is just as pictured. We feel welcomed here and cant wait to get back..book this home..you wont regret it

This is a beautiful location on one of the nicest beaches on the island This was our second trip here and we have already booked for next year. ..the home is spacious and well laid out for family gatherings and Cynthia is a gem. The location was beyond our expectations; a beautiful beach that felt almost private due to being so quiet but with the convenience of a couple of casual beach bars. We spent the entire week in the deck with f the house which was superb. The service received from property manager was excellent including when we had an issue with the safe - instant attention. Would return without hesitation.

Absolutely stunning Villa in the perfect location. It really is as beautiful in real life as in the pictures. Very Well equipped with everything you need. Excellent WiFi. Super comfy beds. Great air con. Moments from the beautiful sea. Plenty of loungers for the beach. Recommend hiring a care as it is a bus ride away from a supermarket and all the bars and restaurants. The housekeeper is such a lovely lady who takes good care of the Villa and guests. Highly recommend anyone to stay here. We loved our time at Chateau Monique

Fabulous setting, wonderful housekeeper. The noise however was atrocious and definitely impacted the enjoyment of the holiday. We booked the villa and flights long before we were made aware of the building work next door. I would definitely book the villa again provided there was no construction adjacent to the property, because the setting and the rustic feel of the villa is lovely. The help from the rental company has on the whole been very good, although on a separate note, still awaiting the return of my $500US security deposit.

No closed windows and no AC

The property had no AC in the common areas, which made it very uncomfortable to stay in. There were bars on the windows and the windows were on able to close. We had food on the counter that ended up being eaten by an animal. We ended up checking out shortly after and renting a hotel.

This place is paradise. Do not hesitate in booking. We had one week here with 8 people including 2 small kids. It couldn't have been more perfect. The pictures really don't do it justice - you have the most beautiful beach right on your doorstep which you can just pull a few sun loungers out of the gate and relax on all day, palm trees providing shade, a spacious and comfy veranda to relax on. The children loved it and had freedom to play on the beach, in the sea or round the grounds of the house. The list goes on and on. We all thought it was the best beach house and location we had ever stayed at. Thunder Bay Beach Bar is a two minute stroll up the beach where you can grab a cool beer or rum punch to laze the day away. It's perfect. For groceries and other trips we hopped on the reggae bus which runs from outside the front of the house regularly all day. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.
