Barony Gate - Merchant City

A large and luxurious two bedroom apartment in the Merchant City district of Glasgow. The apartment is located next to the Trongate at the end of Argyle Street. The district offers a wide variety of both Scottish and international bars, restaurants and coffee houses. It is also close to some of Glasgow best venues including the Tron Theatre, The Barrowlands, and the Old Fruitmarket.

This apartment offers great excellent natural light due to its lofty seventh floor position. The building has security entry and an elevator to reach the upper floors. Inside, you will find a large hallway leading to two double bedrooms (one en-suite). The master bedroom has a king-sized bed fitted wardrobes, plenty of drawer space and a modern shower room. The second bedroom has twin beds, fitted wardrobes and plenty of storage within fitted wardrobes and ample drawer space. The main bathroom includes a bath with a shower over. Having two showers operating from the gas boiler means this is excellent for groups who need to shower at the same time in the morning before heading out for the day's activities.

The large open plan living area includes two elegant sofas, a flat screen TV, music docking station, and a dining table with four chairs. The kitchen is inclusive of everything you might expect in your own home - fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and cooking utensils. Pots, pans and cutlery are also provided.

The Merchant City area of Glasgow is one of the most vibrant districts and full of diverse and interesting architecture, cafes and restaurants. It is a preferred location for both professional and artistic residents with a number of small galleries and theatres in the area. It is also home to a number of high end boutique style shops and more famous international labels at the Italian Centre.

The annual Merchant City Festival and Celtic Connections attract a growing number of visitors each year who enjoy concerts, Scottish Ceilidh dances, comedy events and exhibitions at venues, including the Tron Theatre, the Old Fruitmarket, the Trades Hall, and St. Andrews in the Square, Merchant Square, and the City Halls.

Perfect location and accommodations for family of 4 in Glasgow! We were there for a week and it could not have been better. Eric w Glasgow Flats is excellent and responsive. A amazing experience from check in to check out! Flat is within walking distance of Buchanan St. and has all the amenities you need from restaurants, pubs, shopping and a Tesco around the corner. If you want a treat go to DOH! a small doughnut shop not far.

Property was clean, management was supportive and helpful, and overall it was a lovely place to stay during a visit to Glasgow. The kitchen amenities were particularly nice and we were able to enjoy cooking in or eating out (great location for restaurants). We would definitely stay there again.

Eric was extremely responsive as a host. The unit is as pictured and feels spacious. We were a group of 4 adults. The location was convenient to the main train station, grocery stores and fantastic restaurants. Good supply of toiletries and kitchen stuff. Very happy with this rental.

Great property! They met us on-site with keys and friendly instructions. Beautiful view. It smelled a little of stale smoke when we arrived but cleared up after we ventilated it. Towels were thick and nice. Beds comfortable. And they had LOTS of flyers and a couple of sightseeing books that were super helpful. A very nice touch!

Location walkable to great restaurants, coffee shops bars and grocery. M&S has a fabulous grocery and Obsession of India a must for Indian food! The owners were very friendly, helpful and available when we needed. The open concept apt was very spacious. It got quite warm a few days during our august stay. This apartment provided everything we wanted - safe & secure parking along with very clean and well equipped accommodation which was well laid out for four adults and young infant. High chair and cot provided as requested. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to be within walking distance of city centre shops, pubs & restaurants in one direction and park / play area in the other. The information folder provided was comprehensive and the booking process for this apartment was very efficiently carried out. The arrangements for arrival went completely to plan and we are very grateful to Devin for his ensuring that we had all the information required to enjoy our stay.
