Would stay again

Check in was very smooth and staff very attentive. Room was very clean and once heating was switched on nice and warm. Wasn’t a problem to store my suitcase and check out was equally as smooth as check in. Location was perfect for what I wanted to do.

Based in building with some character. Had a spacious room overlooking George Square and a really comfortable bed. Very enjoyable stay. Only downside was trying to get hot water in the bath/shower - warm at best.

Disappointing

We were a rather disappointed when comparing to our last stay here roughly 5 years ago. The water in the bathroom/ shower was just warm. Breakfast was buffet style and unfortunately most items were cold. No freshly made tea or coffee. Room was very clean but in need of some refurbishment.

It was a lovely place, really nice Georgian feel. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to be near the local stuff and city centre.

The staff were very nice. The property was clearly outdated and in need of renovations - subpar for the stars rating and cost. We also had a lot of noise from other tenants very late at night which kept us up. To the staff's credit, this was addressed the next day, but sound proofing would do this hotel well.

Lovely

Receptionist was lovely . Very helpful when it came to parking . They have a deal with NCP ,where overnight parking is only £15 . We were in a standard double , which was much bigger than we were expecting it to be . Bed comfortable, bathroom was really clean , shower had excellent pressure . There's a double wardrobe , safe,iron and ironing board, decent hairdryer and plenty of drawers space . All in all was a lovely stay , and we will stay there again , next time we visit Glasgow .

Ideally located but dated

Ideally placed on George square. Room big and bed fine. Breakfast was good. The bar was not expensive as you would have expected in Glasgow. The only let down is the room was dated , a refurbishment is needed.

Stayed one night. Went for shower in the morning, but little or no hot water. Tepid shower it is then. Pointed this out at reception, and the comment was “these things happen” I did think some token of compensation would be offered but no. I couldn’t be bothered making a song and dance of it so just left.
