Harvest Drive Family Getaway in Heart of Amish Farm Country

This Cape Cod house and spacious yard is perfect for larger groups looking to get away. It is located in the middle of quiet Lancaster farmland and close to all Lancaster County attractions!

We originally built this house for our large family on the family farm before they moved away in 2010. Our favorite part of this home is the safe and peaceful neighborhood surrounded by Amish homes and farmland.

Living Room -
With a cathedral ceiling, this space is flooded with natural light. Three comfortable sofas provide a place for everyone to recline and relax.

Kitchen -
The newly renovated and fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to prep and enjoy meals with everyone! Includes a stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, blender, skillet, dinnerware, crockpots, and plenty of pans and cookware. The wooden coffee bar offers a Keurig, standard 12-cup maker, and mugs for everyone.

Dining -
Gather your family around the extendable table or dine on the outdoor deck overlooking spacious lawns and family farmland.

Sleeping -
Five bedrooms sleep 13 - 2 bedrooms on the main floor, 2 bedrooms upstairs, and one bedroom in the basement. Extra sleeping options are a pullout futon in the open upstairs loft and a sleeper sofa in the basement lounge. Two full bathrooms on first floor and a full bathroom upstairs.

Outdoors -
A beautiful backyard deck, playset, and huge yard allow you to relax and enjoy the tranquility of Lancaster County farmland. Plenty of firewood is available to use with the Brio smokeless pit and the gas grill makes it easy to BBQ. Experience the slower pace of life on our front porch as you watch the buggies go by.

This home borders our family farm and you will often hear the clip clop of the horses and their carriages. Only 5 minutes to Intercourse and Kitchen Kettle Village and 15 minutes to Sight and Sound Theater. We are close to Shopping Outlets, eateries of all sorts, Lancaster City, and all the best of Lancaster County attractions.

Perfect home for a large family gathering. We were in town for a wedding and this was a wonderful place to put our heads down at the end of a busy days. Beyond the great home; we took full advantage of the attached garage with ping pong table (room to park a car), firepit under the stars and a basement toyroom that kept the kiddos happy. Would highly recommend this home in the Lancaster area!!

Wow! There are not enough good things to say about this host and property. First of all, the host was very responsive, kind, and helpful…she even gave us a few ideas and suggestions of fun family oriented things to do in the area which we were very grateful for.Best of all was the property itself!! The home is very well taken care of, is right in the middle of a beautiful area, and is fully stocked with ANY and EVERYthing you or your family might need. The littles in our family even loved looking out at the cows in the backyard. It was the perfect space for our families to celebrate an early Christmas together! Lifelong memories were made here. We will definitely now be using this home and host as what we compare all others too.

2nd time staying at the house. Beautiful home, spectacular setting. Would definitely stay again. My only suggestions would be to upgrade the mattresses and maybe someday upgrade the toilets to comfort height. Some of the guests were uncomfortable on the mattresses in the master and upstairs. A Greeting Card Group spent 3 days visiting on the buggies and buds shop hop. With the large table & the ability to extend the boards, we were able to have enough room for the 9 of us to make cards when we were not shopping. We also enjoyed the great octagon island to hold our food and snacks, as well as, the ability to unwinding on the beautiful back deck and enjoyed the cows in the field behind us and the dogs on the property beside us. We love coming here and so enjoy the time away from our busy schedules to fellowship, and laugh. I hope the group can continue coming, but the increase in the price may eventually become a stumbling block for us.

This was our 2nd time staying at Harvest Drive and our time was even better than the first. The house has plenty of space for our family of 9 to spread out. The redone kitchen was beautiful. We loved being able to sit on the front porch to enjoy the many Amish going by. The back porch was a perfect place to gather to sit and relax, watch our grandson enjoy the wonderful playground, and enjoy the cows in the pasture. The fire pit was wonderful with a nice area to comfortably sit around each night we were there. There is a nice sidewalk and driveway which allowed our 4 year old grandson the opportunity to ride his bike without being close too the road. The house is in the country but close to all the sights the area has to offer. The host was always quick to answer questions, provided great details on checking in and out, and provided a nice guide of places to see, shop, and eat. The only suggestion I have to make a stay better is dressers in the bedrooms for clothes and if possible king size beds. We look forward to a future stay here.

This house was beautiful! Not just the house, but the property as well. We stayed with seven adults and four kids and no one felt squished. Really well stocked with everything you'd need for your stay. Great deck and fire pit in the back. We all loved seeing the cows each day! We started each morning sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch. It's so close to Kitchen Kettle and lots of other great shopping. We went to Sight and Sound and that wasn't far either. We definitely want to come back! Highly recommend!

Picture Perfect Lancaster Property

We were a group of 13, 6 adults and 7 kids ages 10-3 years old and we all had an amazing time! The house was perfect for families, activities to do, perfect set up for 3 families. Cows in our back yard while the kids played on the playground, horse and buggies riding back and forth in front of the house on Sunday morning. The kids had a blast and the parents were happy! Thank you again for the hospitality!
