Exquisite Custom Furnishing and Design, Pet Friendly, BBQ, One Block From Center of Government Camp
Without little doubt, this mountain retreat is one of the gems of the Government Camp community. Sitting just seconds away from the heart of town you are barely a block away from the Huckleberry Inn and the rest of the great food and entertainment options nearby. Whether its the nearby slopes of Ski Bowl, Timberline or Meadows ski resorts, sledding at Timberline Summit Pass, or any of the countless hiking and biking trails, lakes, or streams, Nor Ski Haus A is the perfect location for you to thoroughly enjoy everything the Mt. Hood region has to offer.
Ascending upstairs to the main floor, you will find the fully renovated and stocked kitchen. While space is at a premium, we have worked to provide a combination of flexible seating either on the couch, beanbag seats, the custom bar-top, or the dining table with plush chairs. Here you will also have access to the patio that is equipped with our custom ski chairs, fire-table, and of course the BBQ for your grilling experience. The final piece of this floor is the second spacious bedroom with king bed, streaming big screen TV and fully renovated en-suite bathroom. When its time to rest and recuperate a bit, kick back and stream your favorite show or movie.
The top floor offers the other two beautifully furnished bedrooms. One features a king bed, streaming big screen TV and en-suite bathroom while the larger bedroom has two queen beds tucked below custom mountain artwork, also featuring streaming big screen TV with gaming console. For maximum sleeping flexibility there is an additional bunk bed. Â From here you can take in much of the surrounding Government Camp landscape along with the hills and forests beyond.
We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please stay indoors during this time, keep the windows and doors closed and keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring the interior of the house.
Nor Ski Haus offers one of the best locations in the region and has been set up to offer a truly memorable vibe and experience for any group that stays. We have little doubt, the Nor Ski Haus will offer you an exceptional mountain escape for you and your group or family.

It was pretty much what we expected - a nice place in a rustic mountain town. Check-in was easy. We were texted a door code just before we arrived. The place was clean and well organized. We used the kitchen a lot with our large family and it had everything we needed. The host was very responsive to our texts and emails. There were a couple things that didn't work (fire table) but they had someone come out quickly to solve the problem. There is not much dresser or closet space which could be improved. The are was mostly quiet. We would come back again.
(I posted this same review on the itrip.net website also.)This place is rustic on the outside, in keeping with the general vacation-home vibe of most of the houses in the vicinity. It's clean, modern and well-appointed throughout the inside. We were favorably impressed with the modern kitchen appliances, comfy bedrooms and nice clean modern bathrooms. The house is smack dab in the middle of the Govt. Camp "downtown" area, just a half-block off the main drag. We walked everywhere around town, including to the nearby Ski Bowl attractions. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.Although all the bedrooms are good-sized, the second-floor living/dining space attached to the kitchen is quite small, just a couch, coffee table and breakfast bar. The deck is accessible right through a door in the living space; it's not large either but has a barbeque and a table firepit that kept us warm during the cool nights. If it hadn't been for the deck we'd definitely have felt cramped with sixteen people in the house. We really like this place; we'd definitely stay here again.
Had a wonderful time in your spacious home. There was an issue with an upstairs heater but property management team was responsive and took care of the problem quickly.
Lovely house in a great location. Host was fantastic. We had a minor issue our first night, and the host replied immediately and the issue was resolved by morning. Walking distance to all the restaurants and several hiking trails. Great house for families or large groups.
We enjoyed our stay here very much. The rental was very well furnished with nice updated furniture and decorations. It was recently renovated for a modern aesthetic feel and was very comfortable. It was a bit warm and the manage company was kind enough to secure fans. I think these will be a nice addition to the rental during the summer months. The kitchen desperately needs better cookware. There are no griddles, nonstick pans and cooking felt very limited. The bottle of wine was a lovely touch!
The house itself is vertical so there are rooms on all three floors. Something we did not observe when booking though I am sure it was shown,
The property itself is alright but it looks like the maintenance is not done regularly. In one room there was no hot water in another the heat was not working. The ice machine was jammed, the grill outside did not have a propane tank and we had to get that from the laundry room. The internet was not working for the first two days and this required a lot of back and forth discussions and it seems the property managers were helpless promising to send someone onsite but no one showed up.
Personally I would try not to stay there again if I had other options.
