Relaxing homebase for Williams, Grand Canyon, Bearizona, Flagstaff and Sedona

Welcome to The Gateway Cottage! Our beautiful privately owned upscale 1765 sf  "cottage" is situated on an acre of cool pines at above 7000' altitude in Northern Arizona, where you can slow down, take in the serenity of the forest and the clean, fresh air while the kids enjoy the swingset. In November, 2024, living room furniture was updated with a new sleeper sectional and matching chair, as well as a tv cabinet, bathroom vanity and light fixture. Our home is located just minutes east of Williams, "the Gateway to the Grand Canyon", where you will find plenty of shopping for most anything you need. The Deer Farm is under 10 minutes from our property, Bearizona and Canyon Coasters are 15 minutes away, as well as the Grand Canyon Railway/Polar Express. It's an easy 45 minute/60 mile drive to the south rim of the Grand Canyon, with Flagstaff 25 minutes and Sedona being an hour away, it makes this home a great central location!! Hunting and fishing, hiking and off road trails are all nearby. There are multiple lakes in the area: Kaibab, Dogtown, Cataract, Whitehorse, and Buckskinner Park to name a few. Our home has 2 KING bedrooms and 2 full baths, plus a sleeping loft with one QUEEN bed and one TWIN bed. Downstairs living room has a QUEEN sleeper sofa. We do furnish a pack-n-play crib, high chair and booster seat for the tiny guests. We can comfortably accommodate up to 9 adults. We're sorry, as a courtesy to homeowners/guests with allergies, WE DO NOT HOST PETS OR SERVICE/ESA OF ANY KIND. We do welcome adults, children and hunters!
See the stars through the skylights from the new king size bed in the master and the new queen bed in the loft. Both king bedrooms have a tv and dvd player, first floor bedroom has a vcr as well, and an assortment of vhs and dvd movies. The fully stocked kitchen includes everything you need, bring your groceries and make a simple or gourmet meal. The laundry room includes linens and towels. Outside relaxation on the deck, the rustic fire pit area or the front porch. We also provide super fast STARLINK INTERNET!! Again, so many fun activities (winter and summer) are nearby, including the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Grand Canyon Railway/Polar Express, Bearizona, the Deer Farm and Canyon Coaster Adventure Park, as well as museums, observatories and outdoor recreation such as fishing, hiking, skiing, sledding and more. This home will not disappoint you!  Check in is after 4pm and checkout is before 11:00 am.

Other Things to Note:
WATER USAGE:
Our cabin is a rural forest property and is on hauled water. Please be conscientious of your water usage, help conserve water and keep our nightly rates low by limiting tap water running and lengthy shower times when possible. Please do not process game at or in our home.

HEATING:
All rural homes in this development are heated by propane which is very expensive. Please make sure doors and windows remain closed, and lower the thermostat temperature when away from the property.

EXTRA GUESTS:
Guest count must be the same as the reservation. There is an added $15/night fee for each guest in addition to 6 to cover extra cleaning and water usage.

Our home does have outdoor cameras for the security of both our property and our guests.

Beautiful, wooded property. Excellently set up with all the necessities and more. We very much enjoyed our stay. Only words of caution is the train runs very near by, so you will hear the whistle all night.

Really beautiful property. However there’s a train that runs at night several times and unfortunately sleeping through the night was an issue for a few of us. For context the train tracks are about a 3 minute car ride away. Keep that in mind if you’re a light sleeper. Otherwise, great location if you’re heading to the Grand Canyon or any of the local attractions. The kids loved the play set. The cleaning fee is 150 which was a bit annoying considering you have to leave the kitchen spotless as opposed to other rentals where you can typically at least clean up the kitchen and leave the dishwasher running but here everything needs to be dried and put away before you leave. A small nuisance. We found several of other people’s socks while staying, but other than that the property was clean.

Property is located in a very quiet, secluded, forested neighborhood. Interior is decorated beautifully and had a plethora of kitchen amenities, pitss, pans, appliances, spices, etc...coffee, tea, cocoa, selection was excellent. We had a great stay. The house is very comfortable and has plenty of space. The loft space was perfect for the kids to sleep in and then the two king rooms were perfect for the adults. The kids loved the back play set. Beautiful area!! We will be back

Williams Get away

This place was just as pictured. Very nice, CLEAN, and the beds very comfortable. Worked great for our family. They could have the whole loft and king bedroom with balcony off it for a place to go and have to themselves. House very roomy and the. Kitchen was well stocked. Host answers promptly and is very gracious

Great Family Getaway

This was our second time staying at the cabin and it was as great as the first time! The kitchen has everything you need, comfortable furniture and plenty of room at the table for the 8 of us. The kids love the loft and having 2 rooms both with king size beds is a huge plus! We enjoyed siting on the rocking chairs on the front porch and having dinner on the back deck. The cabin is so welcoming. I know we'll be back!

Great stay

This cabin was a surprise! It is much nicer than the pictures show. We had 4 adults and 5 kids that stayed and it worked out great for all of us. The kitchen has more than you need to fix meals and the beds were very comfortable. We will be back again.

Perfect place to stay if you are exploring Northern Arizona! Grand Canyon is an hours drive, Sadona is like 1.5 hours away. Less then 10 minutes to Williams. Worth every penny.

Peaceful Place to Uneind

This place was awesome to stay. My family and I felt so comfortable staying here. The house had everything we needed to cook, barbecue and just hang out .The grocery store is about 20 minutes from the place so on the way to the house it was easy to pick up groceries before heading to the house . We would definitely recommend staying here .

Fantastic Weekend Stay!

The pictures of this cabin don’t do it justice. Our party of six had plenty of space—the kids enjoyed the beds in the loft area, swing set in the back, and fires at night! The furniture and bedding are all nicely updated and clean. The carpets are in like-new condition. The location is woodsy without being too remote. Weekend getaway in Williams

What an amazing property. This listing was just as described. It was a great forest retreat away from the Las Vegas suburbs. We came for my FIL 60th birthday and had an amazing time. The property is near the BNSF line and there were teain horns throughout the stay much to my inner childs delight. We arrived a week after snow and our kids had their first opportunity to experience building a snow man and hitting their dad with snowballs. The location is great! Tucked away in the woods not too far from Williams. A quick rode to thw Grand Canyon, up the road from the Deer Farm and two exits away from Bearizona. Our family from the city got to spend nights under the stars and had a backyard fire while the kids played on the swingset. It was an amazing experience and great memories were made. If we head back to Williams, we will stay here again.

Snowy fun!

We planned to do some hiking near the Grand Canyon, but a huge snowstorm changed our plans. Luckily, the cabin was a great place to stay cozy for a few days, and the kids had a blast building a snowman and learning to shovel the driveway.

This was a magical property for our Christmas vacation. It had absolutely everything you could possibly need or want in the kitchen and the property was beatifully presented. The Christmas tree was a delightful bonus.
