The Space:

Verkestaberg by Tiny Away is located in the peaceful neighborhood of Ekolsund, Sweden. Our tiny house invites you to slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a peaceful retreat in the countryside. Here in our charming mobile homes, you can easily venture out to explore Åberg’s Museum, Skokloster Castle, Fjärdhundraland, and the serene landscapes of Hjälstaviken.



A cozy 252-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, a hand basin, and an electric-heated shower.



Guest Access:

Guests can access the tiny house and its surroundings, the forests and land for berry and mushroom picking; excluding the dwelling house and its gardens.



Advisory:



- Please expect pets, insects and farm animals in the property; please do not enter fenced pastures and keep a safe distance.



Pre-orders are all available with 24 hrs prior notice:



- Farm tours are available at 100 kr.

- Breakfast is available at 75 kr per person

Verkestaberg by Tiny Away is located in the countryside of Ekolsund, Sweden. The tiny home allows you to access major cities like Stockholm and Uppsala easily by car, bus or train. Spend your retreat at our mobile homes and explore Ekolsund region’s natural attractions and well-known spots.



Take a visit at Hjälstaviken, one of Sweden's most beautiful bird lakes and hiking trails, while Ekolsund Castle boasts a stunning Arboretum and Castle café. Check out Enköping, the nearest urban area featuring many stunning parks with diverse vegetation and themes.



Wander around nearby towns like Bålsta which features attractions like Åberg’s Museum and the baroque Skokloster Castle, or Enköping is known for its scenic parks and welcoming countryside atmosphere. Fjärdhundraland showcases local craftsmanship, farm shops, and cozy cafés. Nature lovers can explore Hjälstaviken, a serene lake with boardwalks and an 8 km trail through meadows and flowering fields.



Getting Around:

By car:



Grillby 9 km, 10 minuter, Örsundsbro 1,2 mil, 15 min, Enköping 1,5 mil, 15 min, Bålsta, 2 mil, 20 min, Uppsala 3 mil, 40 min, Stockholm 6 mil, 1 hour.



By public transport:



Från Enköping eller Bålsta med buss samt 15 minuters promenad till gården. Anslutande tåg från Stockholm och Västerås till båda Bålsta och Enköping samt buss från Uppsala.



Other Things to Note:

- Wifi is not available

- BBQ Grill is available

- Mobile reception is good for most operators

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- No smoking allowed inside or outside the tiny house.

- Pets are allowed for a $30 fee per pet, paid directly to the host. Pets must be kept on a leash, and full pet policies will be sent before arrival.

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge.

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
