The Hotel was clean well located and an excellent value for the money. I would highly recommend this Hotel. I have been traveling in the Netherlands for over two weeks and have stayed various Hotels, so far the Market Hotel in Gronigen is the best.

Felt foolish staying here. There was a fair directly in front of the hotel with spotlights directed into rooms, air raid sirens, rides, amplified screaming and pounding bass that started at noon and went on until midnight. Hotel did not advise in advance. Solution was to move me from first to third floor, which made little difference. Reaction of staff was to say ‘sorry’ and literally shrug. Locals told me the hotel never discloses these things. It was ridiculous - I can’t believe that I paid to stay here. Beware - bait and switch.

Great place to stay

Central location and comfortable room and bed. Breakfast was very good; nice choices of cereals, breads, hot food. Dinner menu was not exciting; our burger was disappointing. We enjoyed our stay there and would happily return in the future.
